Mike Tyson was the big thing in boxing — one of the most dominant heavyweights in history. If you mean a new up-and-coming fighter reminds you of Tyson, I’d love to know who you’re talking about. But Tyson himself made his debut in the '80s and became undisputed champ by '87. Definitely not the “next” big thing — he was the thing.

Is the date stamp on this thread correct?

It feels like it could have been written about 5 or 6 years ago.

If it is, then the division might heat up if Usyk is allowed to start having fights against other guys he hasn't beaten once, sometimes twice already.

Parker deserves a shot and Kabayel would be the most intriguing opponent for Usyk right now.

When I wrote Mike Tyson, I meant David Tua.

Don't forget David Haye. Woe is the fan who overlooks his promise. The future is bright no doubt

    That is truly terrible.

If someone told me 20 years from now Fat Baby Miller would face Audley Harrison in a PPV £1000 I would laugh in their face. This is the equivalent.
