Plant vs Resendiz

Caleb Plant is set to square off against Jose Armando Resendiz on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at Michelob Ultra Arena, Las Vegas.

The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds in the Super Middleweight division.

Also on the undercard will be Jermall Charlo's and Thomas Lamanna's fight, Yoenli Hernandez's and Kyrone Davis' fight, Isaac Lucero's and Luis Valenzuela's contest, and Curmel Moton's and Renny Viamonte Mastrapa's bout.

We all want to see Plant v Charlo but Jermall is coming off a long lay off and looks unstable in some interviews. Lamanna has been active and sounds confident.

If you were Resendiz or Lamanna you would be pissed right off with the disrespect shown. Everything was about Charlo and Plant, almost like they were fighting each other .

caleb better not be looking past jose armando resendiz. he comes to fight. if your struggling with trevor mccumby then jose ain't going to be an easy night. thomas lamanna is cooked. even this version of jermall shouldn't have any problems

They have been given the opportunity so it is up to Resendiz and/or Lamanna to pull off an upset. Lets see if they can do it.

Decent building card fair enough. Charlo vs Plant on the way and has been in the background for a bit. I think Kyrone Davis v Yoenli Hernandez could possibly steal the show and is best on paper imo. Cornflake LaManna is going out soggy or an agreeable distance W for Charlo. Then again, it's boxing rule nothing out these days . Love to see Charlo get a mean streak back. Seriously though aside a shame how much time has fallen off the legit talent with his inactivity. Plant may have a moment or two with Resendiz, there will be exchanges. After battering Hurd like he did I thought he was here for all of it but now he's also off a ko loss. It'll be fun while it lasts. If Prime and Pbc can get at least similar monthly cards going it would be awesome.

Davis v Hernandez walking in. Love the production of Prime, it just looks crisp and nice graphics. This fight can go a couple ways just hope it's competitive with no bs. Hernandez looks all business.

Hernandez very fluid coming forward. Moves well while punching and jab working solid.

Pressure round two for Davis but Hernandez puts together a couple beautiful 5-6 punch combos and drops him solid! Punches from every angle here. Can see a clear 'strength' difference but it's subtle in Hernandez.

His upper body/back says he won't be at 160 very long.

Solid double jabs off of a missed uppercut...that takes a sturdy foundation, good feet. Ends 3rd round with Davis along ropes and again ripping 4-5 punch combination.

Davis outgunned out skilled and out sped by Hernandez thru 5. Launching his own right here and there but no effect. Davis takes a big right end of round and starting to take a bit of a beating. Ok so much for competitive in any fashion

Davis staying in on guts and guile now. Slower 6th for Hernandez but a matter of what he wants when he wants. Time for a last stand if Davis can gather it because Hernandez looks like the mean finisher type. Surely it'll ramp up.

Slightly better round Davis coming forward but Hernandez picking his spots and moves Davis with his shots. The more Davis puts out the more he knows are coming back. 7-0 Hernandez

9-0 Hernandez, Kyrone letting them go and in exchanges on ropes. All balls. Hernandez is a little more loopy and not so much down the middle with jab. Davis needs a miracle in final round.

Hernandez waving in Davis to trade and Davis says sure. Both throwing to the wind Hernandez stomping the canvas with barks of "come on come on", no dog in Davis who stands in but on heart and toughness alone. Did they say Hernandez is with Eddie Reynoso ?. Just cannot see him staying at middleweight for many more fights. Dude is stacked up top. Great performance...all judges score 100-89 Hernandez
