Loma was the quickest 3 weight world champion, and his 18-3 record does not reflect how good he really was.

Forget unbeaten records, loads of wins and undisputed champions this guy was modern day genius and truly great artist.

His best years were in the amateurs with a boxing career 397 wins with 1 loss avenged many times over.

Size and age only beat him.

Salido was overweight coming into the fight. Nicholas Walters was unbeaten good fighter and quit. Rigo could not handle Loma and retired too.

Teo and Haney were weight bullies as Loma went up for the challenges. They were close contests. His body was falling apart and had surgery on his shoulder. The war in Ukraine also diverted his attention.

Glad he went out on a win and as champion.

Felt like a long time coming honestly. Sensational fighter. Still don't agree with the way they rolled him with instant pass to a title shot regardless of W or L . But still think he deserved call vs Haney. Teo beat him clean after so many, self-included, said he too green. Brilliant run early on and real shame a Tank fight never came off. Loma was a professional dynamo.

Love him or hate him, I always saw him as a classy guy. Kudos to him for stepping away at the right time. Although you'd never know it by the old fogie heavyweights trying to make comebacks... 37 is a bit ancient in boxing.
