Abdullah Mason continues to impress. Giovanni Cabrera is being billed as a step up, but I see Mason handling him with ease and getting him out of there early.

So you think Mason will beat Noakes @TIC

Sam is a top fighter and Azim is not ready for him with all his talent.

yep, sammy gets pieced up trying to get inside to apply his pressure, the speed difference will become apparent. abdullah ends it somewhere between rounds five to nine

I say Sam wins points eventually catching up with Mason in the second half of the contest.

    It is a great card.

it is a very good card, the only fight on the main card i'm not really interested in is david b v anthony. i'd like a good fight but that would be a bad look for david

Mason is the real deal. He was very impressive beating Sam Noakes to win the world title. It was a brilliant fight and both showed how much they wanted that title.

Best fight of the year for me and looking forward to Abdullah Mason developing his career and making waves in boxing.

That did turn out to be a very entertaining fight. Mason has made steady progress and has a certain type of natural reflex to him. I'm not liking him giving up some defense though. Got hit a little with the exact same shots, body and right upstairs but remained in control. Made it a little tougher than he needed too and respects to Noakes but felt like it was a Mason choice. Exciting is great, the future is Masons but settling into some bad habits as the comp increases can catch up though.

I am glad Abdullah Mason did take risks and made the contest exciting. I put that down to being his first world title fight and being completely up for the fight and to win spectacular fashion. He knows he took unnecessary risks and will learn from this bout.
