Default rip hiromasa urakawa & shigetoshi kotari

both guys fought on the same event last week in separate bouts & ended with similar injuries & surgeries. for a japanese card it sounds like a mess, no ambulance was onsite for shigeyoshi & the doctors sounded incompetent. the jbc has cut opbf bouts down to ten rounds as a result but hiromasa's bout was an eight rounder. it's a hard fix but corners need to start ending some fights over there. very rare to see a towel or fighter quit in japan

That's absolutely tragic. Wth is going on over there. Every single commission has its gaps in cutting corners and dropping the ball but going forward with no medical-ambulance on site is the height of professional malfeasance. We've seen more than a few smaller cards be delayed until an ambulance was in place before they could start a fight. The cutting rounds sounds like a quick reaction to say at least something is being done right off. Korakuen Hall looks like the major venue but wonder if the sheer number of events contributed to some complacency. They're scheduled to have like 9 fight cards in just the month of September alone. All to be sorted but for now they should slam the brakes on everything to do a serious review. Two fighters losing their lives on the same night same event make you rethink all of it. We fans really do take many of these athletes for granted. Noticed they also fought each other just last year. A brotherhood in boxing indeed. Rest in peace champions.

i think this was one of the issues, no second ambulance onsite, the first was tied up with hiromasa & i think i read it took about ninety minutes to get shigetoshi to the hospital
