Benitez was the youngest world champion and gave Leonard a tough hard fight. He beat Duran and went the distance with Tommy Hearns so should be up there with the 4 kings.
I don’t agree with you about Moorer.

When you step back and look, it was actually amazing what Benitez did to Cervantes at a mere 17 years old who himself was being talked about for Duran. Never have done a deep dive on Benitez but there has always been talk of his father in the background and at times the loudest voice in the room as a constant. Always thought he was supposed to fight Leonard earlier on in career, but it fell thru.
How can you dismiss the first Southpaw heavyweight champion, my brother? The second to come up from LH to win it all against the great Evander Holyfield? I'm not saying Moorer is the best out of the bunch of 90s heavies, but to neglect his part in the heavyweight equation in the 90s is almost criminal.

Moorer was a beast at light heavyweight but the WBO title was Kronk owned.
At heavyweight he had some classic fights with Bert Cooper being the most exciting. However Moorer was never an elite with the Tyson, Lewis and Bowe. He got lucky taking on a vulnerable Holyfield.
Anyone who was knocked down multiple times by Evander in the rematch, knocked out cold by Foreman and Tua as well as never facing the top heavyweights does not become a discussion as a King of anything.
