Vitali was manufactured through the old Soviet amateur style - he retained vestiges of that throughout his career.

It's a bit unfair to say they both had pawaing jabs and big right hands, plus leaning back style because many thousands of boxers use these techniques.

Johnson used a circular waving defence (almost like the bare knuckle fighters), he had much much better head movement that Vitali, Johnson used the uppercut to devastating effect because he liked to draw fighters in to infight them. Klit liked them at a distance and his best punch was the long right.

I still think they are different!!!! (IMO only, mind you)
