You can lump Benavidez in there with the likes of Bivol, Beterbiev, Opetaia, etc. None are well known to casuals. All of them are elite fighters, who just go about their business. No ducking... no shenanigans. No diva B.S.

All of them would rip Ginger a new one. Unfortunately, Bivol left it up to the judges back when they fought... and he almost paid the almost certain, predictable price.

Hopefully... Ginger continues to fade off into the sunset.

He was convincingly beaten by a guy 3 divisions south of him... so there's that "little thorn" stuck to his side.

I honestly couldn't give less of a damn what Canelo does next. Hopefully Turki will make sure he fights real fights against real opponents. But in the end it's the diva who really calls the shots.

Hey, be fair to Canelo. Boxing needed a face when Floyd left and he was the face for quite a bit. He excited Mexican fight fans and in turn it excited black fans and white fans followed suit. If it wasn't for Canelo, these paydays these guys got off of him would not be. And if it wasn't for Floyd, none of them would be here.

Rubbish. Floyd took the torch from Oscar, who took it from Chavez, who took it from Tyson (when in jail), who took it from Leonard, who took it from Ali and so forth and what have you.......

True. But Canelo is/was the face over the past 5 years or so. The cash cow that everyone saw as the big ticket item. Give him his respect. He got the payday status that he inherited, so give him that.
