Everyone who loves boxing should watch this fight in its entirety. It was an exciting and dramatic contest.

Parker was stronger and bigger dominating with his jab. Wardley boxed well using his footwork to get out of corners and stay dangerous with his right hand.

Parker was slowly hurting Wardley and was going to win on points. However Parker couldn’t sustain the pressure, probably because he came in too heavy. Joseph hurt Wardley in the 10th and tried to finish Fabio but Wardley just went for broke and backed up on Parker and hurt him at the end of the 10th round with vicious right hooks, cross and uppercuts.

Parker was out on his feet at the start of the 11th getting battered by Wardley as he hadn’t recovered from the earlier round.

Great fight you all must watch it.

I’ve given Wardley credit in the past , certainly as much as you did in the post above. (Usyk stops him and Huni put on a clinic against him) both of which I agree with btw.
1.I like Wardley as a guy and respect where he’s got too from where he started and with his very limited experience.
    2. I keep saying he’s improving.
    3. He’s with a really good trainer.
And I don’t like to keep going against Wardley , because I usually want him to win. But facts are facts.
For a fighter of his standard to be fighting for a (or maybe all) the World titles against arguably one of the best ever is wild!
That’s not so much a slight on him, more the poor calibre of HW’s out there.
I’m so pleased that Wardley is gonna get some massive life changing paydays .
And despite what I say about his ability, he fucking deserves it because his chin and his will and desire is incredible.
But this is boxing , an art, a sport, and you shouldn’t be able to get to the very top or near as like he and Joe Joyce for a spell before him by having the capacity to have you head punched to fuck until such time your opponent tires enough for you to bowl him over!
I believe we’ve seen what that has done to Joyce and it saddens me.
But I repeat , Wardley is improving. However, unless Usyk grows old or gets injured in the ring, all I can see is one of the most one sided points victories or late stoppages ever witnessed in a World title fight.
    I hope I’m wrong.
Anyway this explanation has gone on way too long , so I’ll post my thoughts about Parker separately.

I take very little notice of press conferences or head to heads when I judge how a fight will go.
But I do believe weigh-ins can tell you a lot.
As soon as I saw Parker’s weight, it gave me serious doubts, and let’s be honest Everybody predicted a Parker win and understandably so.
Parker got it completely wrong. I’m gonna stop short of saying Parker took him lightly., but he came in heavy thinking he was gonna blast out Wardley. Maybe the manner of the wins agains Bakole,Zhang and Wilder gave him a false confidence in his level of power.
Apart from the Bakole fight , Parker’s career weight is 15-20lbs lower than this.
The Bakole weight can be discounted really because as soon as Dubois dropped out, he probably started eating cream cakes! Added to the fact that he probably targeted coming in heavier than Normal because of Dubois’s power.
Parker would’ve justified it to himself by saying he’s getting older yadda yadda. But totally the wrong call in my book. And bad preparation by his whole team.
