It's not even about Trump anymore. Trump is a feeble, aging, declining old man who is being worn down by the rigors of his position. It's about the MAGA cult, alive and well. Created and enabled by Trump, and now with a life of its own. What was wrong is now right. Lying is not only tolerated, but encouraged and admired. Tyranny is looked up to. It's no longer about the leader doing what's good for me. But about what he can do to fuck my opponents over. Dignity, class, empathy are yesterday's news, and for the weak.

This is the new USA, and the damage, if not permanent, will last for decades.
