Default Oscar coming back to Boxing

It seems he has kicked the drugs and has gotten himself back into good form and this time around possibly a serious bid

What is it with these old boxers not staying retired, social media celebrity boxers and TV companies overpaying for these muppets.

Sadly, there is a demand. Not from hardcore boxing fans, but from the new age type fan. The ones that DKSAB.

There is no demand from fans it’s media hype and propaganda fabricated to make up the interest.

Next they will get great boxers in wheelchairs to fight in the ring.

Look let's be honest it's not just boxing but pretty much everything has gone downhill over the past 15 or 20 years including music and food and quality of life and you name it. The Rolling Stones finally gave it up and canceled their 2026 tour. It's just that nobody is stepping in to fill the big Footprints of these old timers. Some people long for the past and I guess pathetically would rather see Larry Holmes right now come out of retirement to fight Frank Bruno then too watch some of these young ones fight in their mediocre and boring styles and all too few and far between

You think the media could generate this hype and fabricated interest in a vacuum?? If not a single fan went for this sort of crap, the media would have nothing to hype. Take my word for it, there ARE people out there that gobble all of this up. Oscar fighting again... Floyd vs Pac the Senior Tour... Jake Paul the YouTuber... Why do you think a pretty boy with one good fight under his belt has a million Instagram followers, wears a stupid crown, and calls himself the face of boxing? None of this crap existed 15 years ago.

Netflix are happy to gain some subscribers just to put up this nonsense. TV companies are competing with one another to get control and power of the media.

Meanwhile old geriatric boxers who could barely work in the ring and others who are broke are desperate for the money they have squandered hoping they can fool the nostalgic fans with this farce.

This will bottom out when the exodus of boxing fans continues. Netflix might just be getting into boxing. But if the product is crap and gets worse from there, pretty soon they'll have zero viewership.

Those who you refer to as "nostalgic fans" will eventually thin out, leaving only the DKSAB crowd.

If these are enough to sustain Netflix's foray into boxing, I guess we're in for a long, dry period.

Boxing has survived lots of crises before. Deaths in the ring... shitty judging... corrupt rankings... shady matchmaking...

But at some point it's going to have to return to its roots. Or risk going under for good.
