Could Buffer have just annouced the fight wrong. Nothing I've looked up shows this as a 15 rd fight, other then what Buffer said in the ring, we have all seen announcers annouce things wrong from weights and records to fighters nicknames. Seeing that he won the unified title in a 12 rounder with all sanctioning bodies involved I think Buffer said it wrong.
i have the fight but don't remember Buffer anouncing it for 15, I do know it only lasted 12
