You mean "the best heavyweight right now"...at the moment, Wlad was viewed as damaged goods and was seen as a stepping stone for Peter to jump up to the title contention level

Sam Peter isn't overrated...he's decent but no world beater

Calvin Brock isn't overrated he lasted 7 rounds with Wladimir Klitschko...that's good for a guy who hadn't ever fought such a tough puncher before

    Valuev....I agree, he's a bum

Wlad is not overrated! He's the best heavyweight out there right now
Wlad would be the favorite against all other boxers all time dispite his brother. He would rape Ali or Rocky.
what ?? ali would batter wlad and rocky would ko the glass jaw wlad

I agree. LOL @ rape ali or rocky. They would both knock either klitschko out. Kudos to the success these big ukrainians have had in a less than less-than-stellar division and heavyweight era. They do move pretty well for giants. The fact remains though that neither have fought anyone of any credibility save for Vitali's failed attempt to wrest the title from a far past his prime Lennox Lewis. Im glad u are a Klitschko fan, Paa. They need fans like you. When i was a kid i would have told you Hulk Hogan could beat anyones a** too. That doesnt mean he could.
You honestly think Ali or Marciano(a guy who was 5'11 and 188lb) would knock out Vitali?I would love to hear the logic behind that.

It would be tough for Marciano just because he's so small, but I his heart would probably be enough to rip through Vitali. And if Ali doesn't knock out Vitali, he'd surely beat the holy crap out of him until he was a bloody mess.

How about Sonny Liston and either Klitchenstein?

Not really. Look at the rest of the division...right now...Wlad is "the grand scheme of boxing" as you say.

He's the most talented of the bunch & he's been proving & improving himself since his loss to Brewster.

Disagree again. Baldomir was undefeated in 19 fights also...nothing overrated about a man that keeps on winning...even though he just lost his last fight.

Grand Scheme meant all of boxing. To say if he were a smaller fighter, he wouldn't get by on boxing ability.

Being undefeated is great, depending on who you fight. I once fought a class of 3rd graders and wiped'em out. (But does that make me a great fighter?)

    Gotcha.

Surprised that you don't think that Wlad's got good abilities though.

3rd graders? You should be ashamed.

What makes Baldo a good fighter & Floyd a great fighter are two different things...but to say that Baldo isn't good or worthy as some have...that's just wack. Baldo KO'd Gatti, beat down Judah, & again was running undefeated as the recognized figure of 147. Apparently...right after Floyd beat him...his stock plummetted & everyone bailed out on his Cinderella story.

You know...you have to stop & think...he probably feels like the bottom dweller that everyone now makes him out to be.

Sorry...I credit Baldo & learned to respect him for his accomplishments. Just as soon as a man get's beaten does not strike him from the face of the earth.

How did he win the Olympic gold medal when boxing ability is how you score points? He wasn't knocking everbody out, he was boxing.

Hell, don't ask me how he did that on his mediocre skills. Crazier things have happened, I guess. Maybe he just took some slow and methodical pills when he became a pro.

Jokes aside, I think he's the best heavyweight currently fighting, and I like him as a fighter. I just like a little sizzle with my steak and he's slow to bring it.

No, but he did just about everything else better, and Lennox wasn't even at his best against Vitali.. Klitschko would simply get hit too much against someone like Ali or Holmes, it doesn't have anything to do with power.

I was actually refering to general ring movement. But whoever that trainer is, is wrong. That's if he's speaking about a prime Tyson. I don't even feel like humoring that. Tyson's prime hand speed and fighting speed was something special. Wlad and Vitali, well they're good fighters. They aren't ordinary fighters, they're oddly square yet effective.

Yes he was speaking of Tyson in his prime.I think he moves exceptionally well for a guy of his size.I don't think Lewis moved around the ring as well as Wladimir does.Vitali was more of the plodder and Wladimir is the boxer.I really don't know of another guy of his size that moves that well.

I have seen Vitali take shots all night and he never looked like he was in any trouble.I think Ali had overated power anyhow.Fighters just played into his strenghts and I think Vitali would be too smart for that.He always fought his fight not the other guys.

Vitali was effecitvely awkward & accumulatively powerful.

Ali was just as effective as Vitali...but much much more sound on his feet. The power was the same, IWO. Accumulations were both favorable for each of them.

Now...I aint comparing apples to apples...because between Vitali (even though he's one of my fav heavies) & Ali...there is no legit comparisons.
