Ali Vs Lewis

I'm new poster here, Ive been reading the site for about a year and only just decided to join!, apologies if this thread has been done before..

My opinion on this never seems to be a popular one, you'd think it was almost sacrilegious some of the responses I get from mates ect (to be fair most of them ain't that clued up on boxing). Some of you lads are probably gonna "sad click" me for this.

Lennox beats Ali!...EASILY

I think a lot of people might use the Ali Foreman fight as model when predicting a possible outcome for this, this is a mistake, George ain't even on the same planet when its come to boxing ability and he didn't punch THAT much harder than Lewis.

I can see no way Ali gets through the ram rod HARD jab of Lewis and gets back out again, Lennox was too smart, IMO if Ali cant stop Norton he ain't beating Lennox.

Now another point is, when comparing era's, especially Heavy weight, you have to talk about p4p, now p4p Ali takes Lennox to school, no worries. Lewis wouldn't be able to cope without the physical advantages..

I would be genuinely interested to know what your opinions on this are...

BTW I'm not a Lewis "nut Lover" or whatever, I always thought he was Canadian, not British.

Well I agree its an intrigueing match up...I dont like Lennox Lewis but I do believe cause of his size and ability he would give Ali trouble....The thing is though Lewis would have to have the peformance of his lifetime to beat Ali were Ali wouldnt have to be spectacular to beat Lewis....

Foreman would waffle Lewis by the way...Lewis dosent have anything close to the power of Foreman...And wouldnt have enough to keep Foreman off of him...

well frank bruno was outjabbing lewis for 7 rounds if he had more heart and better stamina he would of beat lewis and ray mercer is what 5 11 5 10 ?? and he was giving lewis trouble with his jab i say ali by comfortable ud

Which Ali are we talking about here? They are 2 different fighters...

Pre Exile Ali is too Smooth and Post Exile Ali is too tough for Lewis. Pretty comfortable UD... not a shut out by any means but 9 times out of 10 I just can't see Lennox Lewis coming close.

I think it's safe to say both pre and post beat Lewis comfortably.....

Ali stopps Lewis IMO around the 8th. Foreman hit ALOT harder then Lewis mate, Lewis' suspect chin would be a factor in this fight, considering Ali had an AMAZING jaw.
