I don't agree with that either. Guzman could give Pac difficulty, his style is very good counter punching style. And even if he isn't the huge devastating puncher he was at the lower weights it wasn't the only part of his game, he could box and be defensively great too. He isn't a fighter who is good at just one thing, he excels in just about everything. And so does Pacquiao but in a different style.

This would be a foty candidate.

This is a fight that has been in the making since they were both at 122... People questioned Guzman back then as a 'prospect;' you have to give him his respect now.

He beat a game Barrios--who went 12 rounds with Freitas in 2003 and beat two undefeated fighters in his last three title fights! Not only did Guzman win, he did it convincingly. Guzman was also on hold to fight the rugged Scott Harrison (who we now know is a train wreck waiting to happen) most of last year.

To be honest, I think Guzman may just be coming into his prime.

I must say, Guzman can issue a challenge with class. I like his style. But I doubt we'll see a pac/guzman fight in 07. I think you hit the nail on the head in your post on page 1.

Guzman is certainly skilled but against who? The biggest name is Barrios and Pacquaio is far more ferocious, far more accurate and far more skilled than Barrios. I think Guzman would cause him some problems but I'd favour Manny especially with that right and counter in his arsenal too.

Everyone is forgetting my boy Humberto Soto!! He is awesome and I think he is highly ranked by the WBC! If MAB can't fight Pac next,I'm sure he has to fight Soto and Soto beat Rocky Juarez ass!

I was only saying that Guzman would give Pac hell and he's ready for Pac 5 day's of the week plus Saturdays and Sundays that's all!!!

If Pac doesn't fight Joan and remains in his safe house it will be very hard for the Pac groupie's to defend him anymore!!

    Paragon,

You're really dreaming. Pacquaio is not running from your dad. It just so happen that your dad is an unknown fighter. Pacman wants only the best ( the likes of Barrera, Morales, JMM).

Guzman may be a good fighter but only against fighter who's no as good as Barrera or Morales. I've seen the videos of Guzman which you are proud of. Clearly, his opponents in the said video is nothing compared to Pacquaio.

Now for your claim that Pacquaio is avoiding Guzman... Do you have a proof? CAn you prove it

Guzman's letter to Pacquaio is ludicrous. Why would he select the place? In Dominican Republic so that he willl have the advantage of the crowd and maybe assasinate Pacquaio after Guzman is beaten badly in the ring

    Wake up man!!!!

Guzman is good only for $300,000 while Pacquiao $3million plus plus... Where's your sense of common sense.... or have you got any?

PS: Angel eye's your the truth hun!!

I think Pac would destroy Soto in about 3 rounds. Guzman I think stops him as well

Who the hell was Pacman before he destroyed MAB? What merits did he have to be in the ring with MAB? Not many, so why does he not offer up the same offerings to lesser know / hungry boxers than old retreaded mexican boxers. Then Pacman takes them on after they (Mexican boxers) beat each other up
in prideful in country brawls. Then he signs with Arum he has lost all leverage in boxing to afford big paydays to Pac. Pac is a great attraction but has no belt thus no sanctioning power. GBP has most all possible future Pac foes under wraps. So Arum blames JMM for asking for too much money when the truth is all about pride and ODLH is whooping his *ss in the promoting game. To get the lesse purse and lose his main bread winner would be too much for Arum to digest. I laugh when all the Pac fanatics think JMM is cowardly avoiding a rematch. Both fighters want the fight but it is Arum that stands to lose the most !
