Froch looking confident, coming in to the ring to Queen's "We will rock you". You can tell the difference in their music taste reflects to differences between them as people and fighters. Now let's get it on, the KO seems an almost certainty in this one.

    Round 1:

Firm jabs from Dodson. Hook from Dodson connects. Dodson swinging a lot and coming forward, but Froch catches him on the counter. Good jab by Dodson, he drops his own gumshield in the process. Pretty cagey actually, Froch wanting Dodson to come forward. Froch catches Dodson with an uppercut in the clinch, not too firm though.

Cagey round, but Dodson does well enough to take it. Froch seems confident though.
    10-9 Dodson

    Round 2:

Froch jab makes Dodson stumble off balance. Good jab straight right combo from Dodson, putting Froch on the ropes. Good right uppercut from Dodson. Froch not looking too comfortable. Straight right connects from Froch, followed by a hook caught on the gloves. Goood jab rocks Dodson's head back.

I'd say this one's tied, a bit of chat as they return to the corners. Dodson connected more, but Froch has the power IMO.
    20-19 to Dodson so far.

    Round 3:

Froch catching Dodson on the counter with that venomous right early. Froch coming forward a bit more, good left uppercut. Ref has a word about breaking from the clinches. Dodson missing a fair bit, not as accurate as froch. Good jab hook from froch. Looping hooks getting round Dodson's guard, hard jab goes through the gloves. Starting to take control now. Uppercut. A body shot puts Dodson down. He's not getting up. Out in 3, the uppercut did the damage.

Very convincing finish by him, though once he upped his workrate then Dodson was dispatched pretty quickly. Froch's trash-talking gets backed up emphatically in the ring. He talks a lot, but that uppercut did the realdamage, and he kneeled down after the body shot. Very impressive by Froch. He does have a very big nose, is one observation.

Two minutes and bit of round three....saw this one ended really early. My prediction of 5 rounds seems a little generous to Dodson, I thought belief and desire might have taken him further.

At least the bad blood seems a little cooled now, a hug and a few words shared by them, and Froch raises Dodson's hand for some applause.

    Naturally...

Froch said: "It was ver satisfyting. I wanted a few more rounds and to put a fwe more shots together. I been working hard in the gym, doing a lot of sparring and working on my defence. He turned up in great shape, he'd been working hard, but it shows how good I am. That sweet left hook to the body was right on the button.
"I'm at #3 with the WBC so maybe an International fight early in the new year."

Mick Hennessy reckons Froch will face Lucian Bute early in the new year as a WBC eliminator, and face the winner of Kessler v Librado Andrade, who he says are fighting in March. There was also a somewhat weary call-out of Calzaghe, which they seem to think is par for the course now.

Billy corcoran v Sean Hughes. Corcoran goes down two weight for this one. Suepr Bantamweight, having previously operated at Super Featherweight. Corcoran working hard. Right hook by Hughes floored Corcoran in the first. Jabs working well for the souhpaw Hughes. Both working well.

CC's dished out. Corcoran getting caught time and again. He might have a bit more power, but Hughes can't miss. Corcoran goes to the body. Corcoran's guard is off, and even though his shots are good, he needs to up it and catch Hughes more than he's getting hit. Straightforward really. Hughes has challenged and lost in 3 british title bouts, but is doing well, even though he's a big underdog. Corcoran looking to tire Hughes out with body shots. Hughes faking Corcoran into lots of shots hitting the gloves. Big right fromCorcoran rocks Hughes. Corcoran's biggest fight came in a big fight against Carl Johanneson fro the British Super Feather belt, which he lost in 4, but on the records he should be much better than this fella. Coming better in rd3.
