    I half agree, and half don't. Mayweather already beaten a plethora of great fighters, and he has been in the top 5 p4p for more than half his career. His legacy is there, but whether he will be in the top ten ever or not will be decided by this fight, and maybe a fight with Mosley/Wright/Paquaio... If he does decide to quit after two fights don't expect him to ever have to dig as deep as Robinson had to, to win some of his fights, or Leonard against Hearns. Because Mayweather is superior to them and his current opponents.
    Hmmmm
    What? He's better techincally, and physically than either.

    Whoever loses, it hurts their legacy, plain and simple, and whoever wins will be remembered as the greater of the two. The only loss Oscar had that didn't hurt him was to Hopkins and that was because he was in way over his head weight class wise. Oscar is in no way what Ali was when he lost to Berbick so this nonsense about him being past it is total crap. He's not what he was 6 years ago, but still formidable enough to be considered the best fighter at 154 for the time being. He loses, he takes a hit.

    Oscar's legacy is just fine. If he wins he'll get plenty o' props. But he bound for the hall of fame regardless. Look at the list of who's who.

There will always be arguments of current great fighters because back in the day guys like Robinson lost fights to other guys which made rivalries, while RJJ in his prime dominated everyone, and except one fight so has Mayweather, and but both proved their superiority emphatically in the next fight. I think people can't appreciate a fighter who is far superior to other fighters, and I don't know why. In other sports Ronaldinho who takes time of alot on the field is hailed as the greatest footballer because he is the best, and in football current players, like Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, LeDanian Tomlinson, Tom Brady are all glorified.

I can tell you this much if Oscar scores a victory people will claim him with the all time greats (Top 10) because of his star power. It seems that everytime Floyd scores a victory people come up with an excuse.
    Dude it's not so much that people come out with an excuse but if Floyd would not be like Roy jones jr and hand pick each one of his opponent's and not duck so many serious challengers, he would be given more credit for what he has acomplished oh & especially more if he would shit his fuckin mouth

    who the hell are they? Us players? if so would explain why i never heard of them, not to sound arogant, just a pretty big footy fan being welsh and all, and sinc eu said they are glorified i would assume they are 'well-known', im guessing in the states?

    Any how ot the topic;

    It thought a fair abit about this fight since it has been anounced, and the only actualy facts i can think of would be these...

    It would be a big big win for mayweather beating someone like oscar at LM 'coz mayweather is by no means a LM
    Oscar is a fair way off his best, and althought mayweather beating him would be good, beating a prime oscar would be a completley different story...

    should Oscar win, most wil say he was the bigger man, mayweather was out of his weight and Oscar really should of won, people backed mayweather 'coz they loved him bla bla...

    Neither fighter will get full credit for winning that fight. Im saying it now, 'coz this board will be hectic the next week or so with anyone saying a bad word against either fighter will be called a hatter on so in.

    Oscar isn't quite in his prime due to his lack of activity and he is getting on (although some rgeat older champions still i know but hes fighting "the p4p king" they aint...)

    Mayweather is way out of his weight for the fight...

    But i can't w8 to see it
