No
way they risk him with a livebody and so many lucrative fights at 147.
Cotto round 4
Point being made is Quintana is skilled and has proven it.....and Arum intially refused Quintana but Cotto's camp protested.
You beat me to the point lol
Yes Quintana is 30, he is definately in his prime and I don't think anyone here is saying he's a god or anything, but he is a great boxer
with a good chin and some pretty good power to boot.
Cotto's move up to 147
vs. Carlos Quintana 23-0-0 (18 KOs) Age 30
in his prime, undefeated, natural Welter, can box and slug, has a
good chin, just coming off of a win against Joel Julio, who some
say was trying to mimic Cotto's power technique. The main reason
he is dangerous is he knows when to box and when to slug, and can
do both. Downside he has very little TV exposure and has openings
that an astute boxer could capitalize on.
PBF's move up to 147
vs. Sharmba Mitchell 56-4-0 (30 KOs) Age 35
past his prime, naturally a superfeather, can box, definately
can't trade though all of his defeats came by way of KO
or TKO. He has had the experience of fighting some real
top level elite guys, Kostya Tszyu (twice) and Vince Phillips
but his chin gets exposed everytime he gets near the top
Hatton's move up to 147
vs. Luis Collazo 26-1-0 (12 KOs) Age 25
very young to be a title holder, he has really good boxing
skills, but very little TV exposure. Also for being a natural
Welter he has very little power, relative to the rest of the division.
He is still very young and will still be a threat in the future,
if anyone will fight him.
IMO he is far the better opponent than those other two took
and he is far more dangerous. To further extrapolate, There
is a lot more pressure on Cotto than Quintana, he is the one
moving up, he is the one that has been on TV a lot.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
