Pacquiao is twice the fighter he was then and Marquez is the same fighter with more publicity

Pacquaio would take this fight imo.
CC--agree completely. And as much as some people have jumped on Manny Steward's commentating from Saturday, he's right that JMM has lost a little speed in the years since the Pac fight. And that's going to be a huge problem against someone as fast and hard-hitting as Pac. I'd give JMM the technical edge, but I just think Pac overwhelms him on every other measure, and I see this one ending before 12--but after 3

The way Barrera bores the hell outta me sometimes.
Tapia, Ayala, and Juarez fights come to mind.
Even at the later stages of the Pac Barrera I fight, Barrera was trying to
make it a stinker and run away.

What I'm saying is that a Pac Marquez II fight will be more entertaining than a
Pac Barrera II fight. Marquez, technically is better than everybody in sight,
but has lost some of his speed to make this a very entertaining matchup in style.
Could be a brawl/trade now and then with Marquez superior skill keeping him up,
while Pac's speed and newfound right make this an exciting matchup.

Disagree,I see it,JMM caught cold in the first round(thus explaining why he wasn't seriously hurt at any other time in the fight) and losing the first roun big but going on to make Manny look crude and amatuerish. JMM won that fight imo and hurt Pacmna at least 3 times. Pacman has improved, that;s for certain and would be a hot favourite in a match but JMM has the counter attacking style to frustrate him.And of all things Manny has learnt,he is still off balance after throwing punches, perfect for counters.
I actually once thought that JMM got PAc's # until somebdy said that EM was far better than JMM and what JMM can do Morales can do better. I guess after a 3 round blow out I'd give PAC the nod over JMM. Right now the only person I'm worried about PAC getting into the ring with is Valero. The rest will have a hard time keeping up with the pace and sheer power of PAC IMO.
