    Default Is Evander Done?

Who saw the Evander Holyfield vs Fres Oquendo fight?
Did Evander look as bad as in the Larry Donald fight?
Do you buy the "fighting with injuries" excuse re the poor performance vs Donald?
How did he look? He still carries some legitimacy due to his long track record and beating the odds fights (tyson) plus teh 4 time bit doesnt hurt. And he always looks and stays in shape.
Does ANYONE out there give him a chance at #5 HW championship belt
If so against who and why!!

Is he done in regards to what he used to be capable of

Absolutely. In his prime he would have never lost to the following.

    Lewis
    Ruiz
    Donald

He may have had some trouble with these two though....
    Toney
Byrd may have been a little tricky for evander but I still think that in his prime he would have done away with Byrd as well.

Does that mean that he shouldn't box anymore?

Absolutely not. He has proven that he can still fight...although not as effectively as he once did.
It is not easy to say that because he gave some of the best Heavyweight rounds I have ever seen in his prime.

But, becasue of that, I believe that he has earned the right to do what he wants, just as long as we never see a Holyfield-Donald type performance again.

Agreed , and Evender would beat toney. Against the four champs:

    Wlad - Wlad by TKo
Valuev - Holyfield can actually pull this off,
Maskaev - it would be close by holyfield can do it IMO
Briggs- this would be though but if holyfield doesnt get hit with any haymakers ,holyfield can UD him

    Yes Holyfield is done.

Could he still win at least 3 of the 4 belts and unify...............yup

Even a done Holyfield is better than most of this lot.

As long as he stays away from Wladimir, Toney, Peter and Brock he will pretty much clean up

He would not have lost to Ruiz or Donald. but to Lennox maybe. Lennox was a big fast heavy like Bowe and Evander did lose to them.

Based on their second fight, I have to disagree. The Holyfield that fought Bowe would have done away with Lennox within 8. Lennox did not have the chin that Bowe did.

Evander’s heart and determination factor and overall skills makes him dangerous for today’s heavyweights . I like his chances against any of the current champions

i seriously don't know what to say about his chances, the hw division is such shit right now that who knows he IMO just beat one of the "legit" contenders of the division, and he should have already of had his 5th world title after he beat Ruiz in their last fight but was screwed and robbed and given a draw, so he can't be completely ruled out, as for the injuries, yea i think he had a very valid excuse, comparing his performance with Donald and Byrd, to his performance against Oquendo, his puches looked a lot faster, smoother and crisper than they did before, his accuracy although very far from what it was, looked noticably better but again i seriously don't know bout his chances

I respect your DEEP respect for EH but Wlad would, no doubt, end him.

I think Evander is through against the very elite of the heavyweights. I believe Wlad would stop him, Oleg would also have a chance of stopping him and Valuev would just plain wear him down, even though it wouldn't look pretty and win a decision. Let's face it he is 44 and his last two opponents were limited. This is only my opinion. I have been wrong before. I just don't see him pulling off a Foreman-like miracle.
