I think the key to a great fighter is to be “skillfully aggressive“ . via Trinidad, Delahoya, , J C Chavez. Kostya Tszyu. ect. Defense is important no doubt , but its secondary to offense hence the term ( Hit and not get hit ) Hit being the first word in the phrase... to many fighter now days are all about " don't get hit and hit only when its safe". ( makes for a horrible watch) and hurts the sport.

To me a fighter willing to take chances. whom is able to slip punches as he is barring down on his opponent. Is what makes boxing a great sport to watch, and keeps the fan thrilled and enticed to keep watching
