I can't agree with you there wacko he opens up way more nowadays, and he throws harder shots and plants his feet more. Some say its because of the weight change I say its because he always wanted to be this way, and without Floyd Sr. around Roger guides him in way of fighting that puts greater emphasize on offensive.
I read an article on this very thing just a few days ago...it was by Jeff Mayweather...he said the very same things that you are now...& I don't know...I just don't see it that way.

I saw Floyd on many occassions in the past fight in the pocket & throw power shots...I just think that with age...he's just settled in a bit more & nows how to land & place his power correctly now.

Maybe it is all Roger...but I think that in the end...it's all Floyd.
As fighter myself I agree you make your own style no matter who's your trainer unless their are hitleresque, but Roger was with Floyd for a long time, and I think that his advice which Floyd respects has taken its impact on Floyd... If you respect somebody and try out what they teach you eventually it will rub off. I think the Corrales fight was a good example in the begining he fought more his old style then he showed his offensive brilliance, and the commentator mentioned to the effect that Floyd was fighting how his uncle Roger taught him now.
