No it's not...it's fact.
You won't be drawn on it cos you know that you can't really defend his record with any gusto...
The relevance in the Hatton v Cotto debate is that people are coming on here following this performance against Quintana, claiming Miguel is the new messiah...when in fact, even if we give him the benefit of the doubt, he's still not mixed it a world level.
So, how can people be saying he beats
anyone after beating Quintana?
Yes he looked comfortable at the weight and yes he put on a good performance but did anyone expect anything less?
A 'W' against Quitana tells us nothing we didn't already know and even less about what might happen against Hatton.
The thing that is fueling all of this is that he looked so much better than what Hatton did at 147. Whatever the reasons were for Hattons problems with his fight (started training for a fight at 140 but then had to change for 147, lead to improper preparation, etc...) Cotto did look a lot better. Everybody knows you can not compare resumes, the best you can do is try to compare common opponents, but that really doesnt work because we all know promoters styles make fights.
