No it's not...it's fact.

You won't be drawn on it cos you know that you can't really defend his record with any gusto...

The relevance in the Hatton v Cotto debate is that people are coming on here following this performance against Quintana, claiming Miguel is the new messiah...when in fact, even if we give him the benefit of the doubt, he's still not mixed it a world level.

So, how can people be saying he beats anyone after beating Quintana?

Yes he looked comfortable at the weight and yes he put on a good performance but did anyone expect anything less?

A 'W' against Quitana tells us nothing we didn't already know and even less about what might happen against Hatton.

I didn't say he beats anyone,merely Hatton

Well Hatton didn't look comfortable at the weight and JUST ABOUT got the W,didn't you expect more?Secondly,Quintana was chosen by a number of fans from here, other forums and even some experts.

Maussa0beat him before Hatton, looked just as good against a more awkward version

Sosa-tough fighter looked decent against PBF

Ndou-strong as a bull,Hatton turned down chance to fight him

Pinto-unbeaten banger, beat Cotto in amatuers, also could have fought Hatton but didn't

Corely,-world ranked challenger, took PBF and Judah the distance

Abdullaev-Olympian,beat Cotto in amatuers

Torres-undefeated banger, went on to win world title

Branco-only lost once,to Gatti

Malignaggi-slick,fast,Cotto dismantled him. Future world champ

Quintana-world ranked WW

It's not just that they are all decent/good fighters, they have mostly been young, unbeaten, hungry. And it is the manner in which Cotto has beaten them whether it be fighting front foot, back foot, stalking them etc etc showing his versatility.

Hatton beat Mauusa,Tszyu,Collazo......oh and Magee,Phillips and Tackie..

Everybody knows you can not compare resumes, the best you can do is try to compare common opponents, but that really doesnt work because we all know promoters styles make fights.
Indeed

I'm just trying to put some perspective on it. I'm not here to piss on anyones bonfire but if it was the other way round I certainly wouldn't be crowing that Hatton beat Quintana and therefore beats all the Sugars past and present...
Also, you're over hyping the situation yourself, where do I or Killersheep, the 2 main peeps you've been debating with, say Cotto is the best etc etc?? Stop over exagerrating

He's spot on people.
Miguel is yet to prove sh*t to me as well.
Who has he fought of any real substance?
Quintana is by no means a 'judging stick' for anyone and retired on his stool at the end of the day
Fact is that Cotto has yet to be really tested.

Quintana quit on his stool.....so did Tszyu.......So what And Cotto was tested against Torres and showed tremendous heart to come back....
