IS Oleg Maskaev Russian now?? Still American WTF?

SO I was reading this Maskaev, Okhello press conference thing and both fighters were asked a bunch of questions. One was directed to Maskaev about his citizenship. He said he was a Russian citizen now and will be carrying the Russian flag to the ring...WTF?? I thought he was now an American citizen and was very proud and loud about this. So what he is then?

yes I have..he should have specified though "I am still American citizen but have Russian citzienship too now" but that doesnt make much sense..so was he a Russian citizen but then that was revoked and he now got it back...why doesnt he walk to the ring with both American and Russian Flag...why did he make himself sound exclusively Russian??

I don't know. In boxing Don King has been using flags to make money for years. It is not a King fight but this guy has to sell tickets over there. If I used to live in America, but then I moved to Russia and got a citizenship, and then came back to America to fight again I would probably wave the American flag when I came back.
Thats kind of my train of thought. I really believe that its harmless.
