    very true.

but that doesnt necessarily make a good boxer.

    kinda like baseball..............

    who is better?

the guy who has a batting average of .365 and hits 29 homeruns a year?

or the guy who hits .268 and knocks out 40 homeruns a year?

True. Fans love boxing but they love to see brawl.

    i agree.........

im more of a mayweather, whitaker kind of guy as opposed to a gatti, morales (both great fighters when they were at their best, espically morales)

i guess it all boils down to whatever floats your boat :P

Why would any boxer hate boxing and still be a boxer? It would have to be a retired boxer, who took too many punches and regrets stepping in the ring or who retired 0-1 by KO.

I would have said Oliver McCall if he retired after the Lewis fight, because there's no crying in boxing.

    But not boxing..

Boxing = The art of hitting and not getting hit.

Slugfests are fun but a great boxer beats a great slugger.

And someone who truly hated boxing Roy Jones Jr and Sugar Ray Robinson.

I dont think any boxers truly hate or hated boxing. If so they wouldnt have gotten into it in the first place or stick around.

Eubank said he hated it but in reality it was his way of showing himself off to the world. He loved it, no matter he may have said.

hitting + not getting hit back = boxing

    Well said.

Now...all a** smootchin aside...I honestly believe that Floyd pretty much dislikes what he does now...I think that he's become a bit disenchanted with the sport in general & everything that everyone says regarding him performances.

Mike Tyson hates boxing...hell...Mike hates everything.
My problem with Floyd is that when I think of a defensive specialist I think of someone that is able to stay in range and not get hit. Floyd pot shots then runs to the other side of the ring. It seems to me that with the likes of Bhop and Winky they were/are able to stay in range and not get hit. I think that frustrates a fighter faster, when a guy is right there all night but you still cant touch him. Neither fighter ran off to the other side of the ring. Floyd has argueably the best defense in the sport right now, so nothing against him just dont like the way he uses his skills, I feel like he wastes it more than he uses it.

i thought eubank never sad he hated the sport. he said he loved the nobility and the concept of it, but he dispised the way boxers are taken advantage of and used. thats why he said it was a mugs game.

I'd say Audley Harrison hates boxing.
