Default IMO Winky deserves his place back at #2!

He fought alot harder opponent then Morrales was at this stage of his career, and he won more convincingly than any other person who has beaten Quartey... This was far from the best matchup for a fighter like Wright who was facing the only man who is his peer except maybe ODLH when it comes to the jab, and he like Quartey is getting old. Anyways Pacquaio has been impressive, but he hasn't truly been fighting the same class of opponents as Wright has lately look at Wrights record Trinidad, Soliman, Taylor, Quartey... all in a row. Now Soliman might not be that highly rated and I agree, but he does hold his own in the gym with Kessler, and he did beat Mundine.

Winkster remined me of Ali's Rope-a-dope without the rope, A-Dope!

I kid Winky! He's a top fighter. Wish he threw more varations of punches in his youth. It's amazing to see him throw an uppercut. heh I agree with Emmanuel Steward, more variations in punches and he would have KO'd Tito.

I figure he has the best chin pound for pound to get away with THAT defense.
It looks like the wear and tear has finally set in a bit.

Looked like the Arena was pretty full too.

I noticed he was a little slower to, but I think thats because he couldn't get his jab off, and thats the only punch he ever threw really quickly. I don't see him get hit very often cleanly on the jaw, and I was surprised when Quartey did it, but as I began thinking they fought alot and this was Quartey's style first which is why he could find holes nobody else has been able to... I mean Taylor very rarely caught Winky with what I would consider a significant punch. I also still think Mayweather fighting him at 154(If Winky could get down to it) would be a fight he couldn't win.

are you kidding me? how come the vets aint school this kid yet? Trinidad, Soliman, Taylor, Quartey...you think that's better then jmm em mab larios? first of winky drew with j.t. pac drew with jmm...winky whoop tito pac knockout season mab and k.o em twice...while winky has soliman and quartey? wtf those name compares to larios not anywhere near mab and em...and you failed to mention mosley that shows your knowledge...mosley is winkys biggest win that can compare to pacs wins agains em but pac k.o and destroyed em while winky just tamed smaller mosley...so what's left is mab what does winky have to compare to pacs win against mab? tito? beating mab the way pac did is much impressive then winky whooping out of retirment tito...plus tito is no mab...

but anyways to me winky is second p4p and pac is number 1 p4p...

last note...the draws j.t winky and pac jmm...in the rematch pac will finish jmm while winky will still have trouble with young still improving j.t?...so oppenents wise and win wise? who has better resume? hands down pac does...since this is how you look at it so yea.

Taeth was reffering to his last string of wins, as of late. YOu should read before you attack his boxing knowledge.

yeah and the only time Pacquaio fought anything resembling the old Morales he lost decisively. Barrera was clearly not ready for him, and way already past his prime which is why I can't see him winning this time either. The last two EM fights don't impress me at all... EM looked like a ghost out there. Also Larios isn't even close to measurement up to Jermain Taylor, Felix Trinidad, Ike Quartey who are all be HOF's and/or ATG's. If you want to look back Winky did dominate Mosley twice, and he got a bullshit decision against him vs. Vargas that he won. So essentially he is unbeaten since creating this new style, and he out punched Taylor by like 40-60 punches and deserved that fight as well.

winky beat a past prime tito he came out of retirement...who is so one demensional...and he whooped a much naturally smaller mosley who is and was already past his great days coming into the fight with pac...was peoples saying mab was past his prime nooooope...pac made the master ladwaba look old he made mab and em grow so much older...its in his punch that makes these guys look old...winky whoop ike tito and mosley all already and clearly past there good ol days...pac gets bash because his younger? and guys he fought he made look old...j.t in the rematch will whoop winky that's a huge possibility while everyone around pac seems dead or dieing in pacs era...now looking at the fasion of how pac destroys since in fairness accomplishment lately pac and winky is about the same...but pac wins more explosive and much memorable...pac is already like I said before an unforgettable brutal force in boxing history...and he smiles while whooping a$ses haha

Pac beat Barerra, Pacquiao drew with JMM despite his huge lead, then he got beat by Morales, beat Vasquez, beat Morales after Morales was beaten one sidedly by Raheem then fought Larios who had been stopped in a round prior and then beat Morales again.

Winky just beat Shane Mosley(twice), Tito Trinidad, Jermain Taylor(but they gave him a draw) and now Ike Quartey.
Thing is Wright won the Undisputed 154 pounds title and fought for the undisputed one at 160. Pacquiao has yet to fight for that in any division while on that run(unless you say he achieved it when he beat Barerra).

Winky has been more impressive in who he has fought. Pacquiao has been more impressive in how he won.

Winky probably deserves to be 2 or 3, tight between him and Pacquiao.

I'll give Winky the nod as we know he could probably clean up at 154 and he has shown he can match the best at 160.

Great fighter, boring as hell to me though

A convincing win from the Pac-Barrera2 might secure 2nd or even 1st spot. But as of now Winky deserves at 2nd

Am I the only one who thinks that Wonky lost the fight to Quarter Man, I have not seen anyone make the Winsett look so sloppy and miss SO many punches. The only reason that the fight had the action that it did is because Ike was putting it on him. Two knock downs that weren't even knock downs And were are suppose to praise him in the sport of boxing ......

Look I want to let everyone know before I get bombarded by Wonky lovers......I do think Mr. Wright is a great boxer but to bump him up in ranking after his performance in boxing is a joke!

    Big ups to Ike Quartey!!
