Well.... it WAS Erik Morales. Now I'm faced with a new problem as a fan... I gotta find a new favorite boxer to watch.

I do have more than a few years under my belt as a boxing fan, but I do consider myself just a tad bit over the level of "newbie." 10 years or more of being a hard-core boxing fan is what you need to be "experienced" fan of the sport IMO.

The guys who could potentially win me over to eventually regularly by their tickets.

1) Antonio Margarito - I like his story of poverty to becoming the most avoided fighter today. Plus his home is Phoenix, like a hometown fighter of mine. And I like the fact that he's "undergound" that I and only a few fans appreciate what he can do in the ring... and we will be one of the few that WON'T be surprised if Tony does something spectacular in 07.

2) Edwin Valero - He's different, intelligent, a loner... a fighter who'll always show up to fight or in shape. If he fights in the States, I may become a supreme fan of his and see his fights live, in Vegas.

3) Miguel Cotto - Every fight I watch I'm always cheering against or for. haha For Torres, for Cotto against Quintana, for Paulie.

Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao used to be up there. I love watching them, but I'd rather watch them on the tele. If Ricky secured a fight with Cotto or Margarito... that's a MUST SEE LIVE fight.
