Calzaghe and Hatton didn't even make it in top 3 but some posh showjumping tart won it

its not even a real sport for fucks sake

I'm not saying i wouldn't like to smash the granny out of the posh cunt but vote for her to be sports personality fuck that

i would really like to leave her a pearl necklace though

aye i wouldnt mind doing her up the gary glitter eithwer

disgracedful - wherre was Calzaghe ??

I also have to say that I think Phil Taylor should get some recognition for what he has achiewved in his career. I don't think any sportsmqan has ever dominated a sport for so long ever in world history - and been a level above the rest of his competitors continually throughout that period.

And before people say darts is a minor sport - more people watch it than fuvcking showjumping. Fact

right ofcf to bed now - might ebven have a fiuve knuckler

i havd to get train to london in morning - this is not looking good...

I watched the programme and it made me really angry.

The only thing that we seem to be any good at are cripple sports and sports nobody else plays.

Our so-called top 10 included a guy who can't even get into the test cricket team, a guy who has won one race out of over a hundred F1 starts, a fat guy who plays darts (a sport nobody else plays),a golfer who was only on it because his wife died, a gymnast nobody has heard of ........... pathetic. It has been an absolutely crap year for British sports.

The winner was a posh bird, doing a 'sport' that involves sitting on someone's back while they do all the work. No wonder a Royal is good at it!!

We then had two bona-fide world champions who didn't get anywhere.

Either it was a fix, or I am not surprised we never win anything important as we do not celebrate winners, only losers, never-were's or we suck up to the royal family, who should all be executed anywhay.

It was disgusting and I will never watch it again.

I decided never to watch it again after last year when they somehow deemed Freddie Flintoff more worthy than Ellen McCarthur

I mean Ellen had set an ALLTIME world record, FOR BOTH SEXES!! in here round the world boat trip, beating the men, and being only 5 ft 2, plus she was the fastest non F1 driver ever on Top Gears celebrity race challenge and she didn't get the trophy.

They gave it to Flintoff because he helped us win the ashes, a shitty tournament that we play every single year against Australia.

As for this year at least Zara won a world championship so I guess she's more worthy than Flintoff last year.

I'd still give her one though, just to hear if she moans in a posh accent.

It was a public vote at the end of the day.......

but it was the worst year I can ever remember. Calzaghe deserved imo

Yes, but I have said many times that the public are generally too stupid to be allowed to vote for anything meaningful

I don't think Calzaghe did anywhere near enough to win it
    What did he do?
Beat Lacy and looked average against Bika, Hatton did more last year and never won it.

Because he achieved the pinacle of HIS sport, i.e winning a world title. The same could be said for some of the others, but to have a guy who finished 6th in his sport (Button) a guy who isn't even in the National team at his sport (Monty P). A sympathy vote (not that I don't have comp, lete sympathy coz I do) Darren Clarke.

Wot I mean is he was as derserving as Tweddle and Philips, but I just can't see how riding a horse is as impressive as what JC did.

Also i think Joe constantly shoots himself in the foot by refusing to put his name about..
Example: Warren wanted him to do some modelling for a Huge designer clothing company but he refused saying "Im not posing in pants'
Warrens answer "9/10 times the public see's you, your in shorts mate"-fair point.
Anyway Freddy Ljunberg got the deal and it was modelling Calvin Klein boxers.
A massive marketing chance wasted imo and a sh*tload of £££

I've just lost patience with him full stop tbh mate. How he can come off the fight with Lacy and fight Bika and then Manfredo?? What a waste

Totally agree he should have gone the Kessler route
He did state though (last night) that the mandatory challenger was of no interest to HBO whatsoever so it seems they are pulling all the strings from now on which is a shame for us fans.
Also Boxers are so inactive (2 fights a year etc) these days that they gotta sell themselves in other ways to be know.
If you said the word Boxer to a non boxing fan these days they'll turn round and say Amir Khan

..... and sitting on a horse jumping over a few fences gets wall-to-wall coverage?

We appear not to have got over our ancient lick-spittle regard for our German royal family.

Its obviously saddo's fault. He had money on the posh tart and had some phone dialling scam on the go. Its always the same people that vote for these things
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
