shane mosely (although he is not nearly the fighter he once was not too long ago) will take this guy to school and put on a boxing clinic en route to a late round tko (shane probably wins every round of this fight) and after hatton sees what a quality fighter can do at 147, he never again dares to leave the 140 pound division

let the sad clkicks roll in
Not from me. I agree completely.

Well Shane deserves credit for taking this fight but I don't think it'll be easy. It will be a good indicator of how good Shane will be at 147 though so I'd like to see it!!!

Shane says in a boxingtalk interview today that he's pretty sure that Cintron is next. Collazo is a remote possibility, but he sounded pretty sure it would be Cintron next.

Tihs is a good match up and Collazo i think will show he is a really good fighter in a loosing battle.
Because i just think to give Hatton such problems he cant be bad , maybe just lacking power.

OOOOOOOHHHHH!!! Now that would be another good fight!! Shane doesn't know what he wants though, the last time he spoke on boxingtalk,he said he might stay at 154 then later in the interview,he said Cotto was a possibility. I like Shane but I'll be rooting for Kermit so it makes Tonys win look even better

Thanks for the heads up bro!

No problem. I haven't seen Cintron fight. Seems like a very strange choice given that Margarito beat him fairly recently--did Cintron look especially bad in that fight or something? I think Shane could definitely beat Margarito (though I am with you a bit on not knowing what to really take from the Vargas fights), so I don't know why he's dicking around with Margarito's leftovers. I guess there's the Arum/Golden Boy problem preventing the big fights between Shane and Margarito or Cotto though.... That's a shame.

This is a really sad post. I can't think of a worse case of being a fan boy.

A sad post? Not really,I just want Tony to get the credit he desrves for dismantling a power punching machine who was made out to be a bum after losing to Tony.

Yeah,I don't think we'll see Golden Boy fighters taking on Arum fighters which is a shame but beating Cintron would give him a title. I don't think Shane can beat Tony at 147 and even if he did,it would not be easy,no way. The amount of pressure Margarito would apply,Shane's never faced that much pressure for a while. It's not really Tony's left overs simply because Cintron is going to be a big name at 147. He looked good in his last match and Suarez, used good movement and alot more jabs too to set up his power shots.

I'm not very comfortable judging one boxers value based on what another boxer does with the same opponent. Maybe you could get something out of it if the fighters you are comparing have similar styles but that is not the case here. If Cintron knocked Mosley out all you could tell about Tony would be that he has a good chin. The thing that was sad about the post was I think you know better than that and can see Tony and Mosley have different enough styles that whatever the result between Cintron and Mosley won't say much of anything about Tony. I think many people are put off from Margarito by his fans using twisted logic that in this case is starting to look like 6 degrees of seperation, and other times is taking statement for fact.

Either one of them is a great fight, Mosley deserves credit going after up and comers rather than big names going over the hill. Fresh thinking!

Ok I see where you are coming from but it's just the logic of the mind. I know if A beats B it does not mean he beats C and I don't use that logic,my point was merely Margarito did not get the credit he deserved for beating Kermit so IF Kermit beat Shane,it would put Margarito's victory into perspective. Irrespective of styles,a win over a good fighter is a win over a good fighter but Kermit was made out to be a bum after his loss to Tony, that's my point and he is far far from a bum. Also, that's a stupid point, you need more than just a good chin to defeat an opponent and it would also show Tony used good tactics for the fight thus showing him to be versatile, another advantage I think he has but is not given credit for.

I think Mosley walks right through both Cintron and Collazo. Cintron in about 3 rounds. Collazo in about 7.

If his fitness is there then Mosley still owns Welterweight!

the only way to beat Shane is with excellent straight punching from the outside like Forrest, ODH(2nd) and Wright.

Cotto and Mayweather are his only threats at 147 and I think he still has enough to beat both.
