I've never heard so much rubbish about a guy's chin in all my life. How does anybody know he has a weak chin? He's never looked hurt. His opponent on saturday looked much bigger and had an awkward style. Kahn handled him well. He'l learn to keep his hands up once he is digged by a hard hitting opponent. He was nowhere near being KO'd either. He fell over the bottom rope. Give the guy a break he's 20 yrs old.

Did you see his knockdown in the Ams by Watson i think his name was? He was dazed to say the least and that was with them big arse gloves and headgear.

Did you hear what they said in commentary about the french guy being stationary, that's why they picked him, plus he had no punch but then again neither had Khan He has good hand/foot speed.

    He wasn't hurt.

Wasn't this fight outside of Khans weight class?

He is a Lightweight isn't he? Didn't he just fight a Welterweight? I doubt his power would show up then

I would hardly call that compelling evidence for the prosecution. Didnt Amir get up and win the fight comfortably?

Ha, I love it. He's 20. He's so raw, a prospect. Years off any sort of world title shot. People have to progress. I bet you Mayweather wasn't always impressive in his first 15 fights. Was it De La Hoya who got knocked down twice inside his first 10 fights? He is a prospect. He's nothing right now. He's in an absolute no win situation with the critics. If he blows someone out, good he was supposed to. If he struggles in the slightest bit, he's a bust. He might even lose a time or two before he arrives but he has to go through these trials.

I saw a topic from March where someone called Andre Ward "garbage" because he got knocked down. That happens. Forecasting is fine but people have to ease up a little bit and realize that these prospects aren't the finished product. Just my 2 cents directed at boxing fans in general not trying to single anyone out. Haven't even seen Kahn fight yet.

I was impressed with Khan's performance. Offensively, all the tools are there. He has a good jab, can lead with either the left or right hand, can lead with either head shots or body shots, knows how to put his punches into combinations, knows how to punch off his opponent's punches, offensively he is very polished for 20 years old IMO. He does get hit with a decent amount of punches, so his chin will certainly be tested at some point.
The knockdown was nothing but a slip/leg caught on the rope. He was not hurt at all.

The tools are already pretty much there offensively. The speed is awesome. Defence does need working on and like somebody said earlier, if there's no improvement, he needs to get a new trainer. His power was never likely to show up against a natural welter considering kahn is a natty lightweight. I don't think a knockdown in the amatuers is compelling enough to condemn his chin. Plenty of fighters have been hurt in the amatuers. He is, like his dvd states......'A Work in Progress.'

yes he's a prospect, so they should take him off headlining shows on national TV fighting for garbage titles and let him develop.
