Gyrokai, not really. I like to engage; that's all. That said, I need to have a glass of warm milk and turn in. After all, geezers need their rest.![]()

How on earth would Floyd Jnr beat Sugar Ray Leonard or Roberto Duran?
You must be on another planet.
Sugar would have a little more skill and movement and wins a close decision and Duran after he had thumbed Floyd a few times and elbowed him would wear him down, catch up with him later in the fight, Floyd would think he’s been in with a Tiger and Duran wins a close decision, don't forget in his prime Duran was relentless for a full 15 rounds - non stop.
I know Floyd’s a very good boxer but some people in this forum a putting him on this massive pedestal, he’s not done enough in my eyes to even be mentioned in the same breath as Sugar Ray or Duran.
This is Uranus, isn't it?Originally Posted by Realitycheck77

duran would walk right through mayweathers shots and he would catch him sooner or later but i see mayweather maybe getting decision against duran
as for hearns i think hearns kos floyd in middlerounds hearns is taller and stronger and has long reach which would keep mayweather on outside and he would eventually land that classic right and goodbye floyd
arguello i can see floyd getting very close decision over arguello
and as for ray leonard i see leonard getting decision over mayweather but very hard nights work though
Good stuff. No argument with it.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
Look at Castillio v Mayweather 1 and you tell me Duran loses.
After thinking about it both fighters in there prime, I believe Duran would take Mayweather's heart and spit it out and stop Maywaether in the 11th - no question.

I totally agree with you COUNTER, if Castillo could do that imagine what Duran would do to him, I said on another topic that after Duran had given Floyd a few low blows, elbows and thumbs, Floyd would think he's been in with a Tiger and Duran wins a close decision, but after some consideration I think I've been genorous to Floyd and all the people in this Forum that think he's Great, what he's Great because he (Floyd says so) I'm now certain that Duran would destroy him, he would take away his heart and stop "pretty boy" in the 11th round.
The word Greatness is used so out of context these days, FLOYD IS GOOD BUT NOT GREAT!
Hey princess I know it was a left hook that dropped Fullmer...I was saying not only did he have 1 punch power he had extremely fast hands and threw GREAT combinations. How you can say Ray Robinson never catches Floyd is beyond me and shows me that you know jack shit about Robinson.Originally Posted by Taeth
Ray Leonard was able to withstand Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler's power and I think he would beat the shit out of Floyd Mayweather Jr. who NEVER stood up to a brawler as good as those guys and he runs and Ray being as fast as he is and as good as he is at cutting off the ring Ray would dominate him.
Judah was faster than Duran but Duran could make ANYONE brawl and I think his mental toughness draws Floyd into a brawl or else Floyd runs like a little bitch.
I'll tell you this running away doesn't make a great fighter....people think it's contradictory for me to say that about Floyd and yet like Willie Pep but if you look at Pep he took challenges on and used all his skill to win, Floyd uses his skill but he uses his legs more
Hearns would be such a difficult matchup for PBF IMO. More so than Leonard or Duran. People forget that he was very fast, maybe not as fast as PBF but Floyd's slown down some at 147 IMO. And that long jab would make it hard for PBF to use the pull counter right. That's maybe the best thing Floyd does, he makes some guys just tentative about throwing the jab cause they're worried about the right hand coming right back over it. But with that long, quick jab it would be harder for Floyd to be in range to do that.
Floyd is a better inside fighter but he'd have to get there, and even though he's great defensively he'd take some right hands on the way in and its hard to tell if he'd be able to take them. I have my doubts that he would be able too. And on the other hand even though people think of Hearns as chinny I definitely don't see Floyd being able to hurt him. Floyd would have to be perfect every single round.
I agree in some respects that fans tend to glorify older fighters, Floyd will be a much better fighter 20 years after he's retired, no doubt, he'll be put on a pedestal. Hearns is just a bad matchup though.
.....I think Ricardo Mayorga at 147 would have been a horrible matchup for him.
and no Hulk I ain't playing around....I think his balls to the wall style and power and his chin would have been very tough for Floyd to cope with.
