    Default Jhonny Gonzalez-Gerry Penalosa

Its in the Philippines. man this should be a good fight. Gerry did well in his last fight and i think golden boy promotions must have been happy with him. Gonzalez was unlucky in his last fight. This will be a good match up imo its for the WBO bantamweight crown. Who do you rekon wins this one? Gerry is getting on a bit and Jhonny still does have many years ahead of him.

Gonzalez should win, too big and strong. Just got more offensive weapons than Penalosa at this weight.

I agree but you never know, it was the same thing with Vasquez. I'm really rooting for Gerry.

I really cant see gerry being stopped by Gonzalez. The fillipino pride will keep him fighting. It's in front of his homecrowd as well. Gerry has that as an advantage over Jhonny

I don't know much about Jhonny cuz I haven't seen him fight, but I can say that Gerry is a seasoned veteran who's never been knocked out and even at his age has never lost that 'fire' in his heart, something rare among fighters his age - that alone might just do it for him though I'm not sure about it.

It took a guy with the srenght of an ox,good power and a HUGE heart to prevent Johnny from putting on one of the boxing clinics of the year(Vazquez) Penelosa does not have what it takes to win and I favour Johnny. He has great reach, excllent use of distance with the jab, very under rated power and is a good all around fighter.

A good jab, with longer reach and good power indeed will be a big problem for Gerry, that much I'm pretty sure. If Jhonny can stay away from Gerry, he'd be a winner but if Gerry can catch him often, he'll (Gerry) have some chance.

Penalosa was great champion. But his time has pass. Gonzalez by brutal knock out. To much size and power. Bad fight for Penalosa

lol, you're going down again bro!! He is without a doubt a good fighter but if he were to hypothetically fight Vazquez again,I'd still pick the same outcome although you're boy did have me scared at the beginning,Isreal has the heart of a lion!

OK, fair enough, let me know if there are any other fights that come up that you wanna bet on. Just for your information, his name is actually spelled "Jhonny" don't know why, that's just the way it is.
