What kind of a challenge is it when guys like Jones and Toney beat Ruiz and if Hopkins beats Maeskev.?? Maskaev is the worst of all the champs and Hopkins could beat him same as Ruiz was the worst heavyweight. Now I know Holyfield was declining when he fought 3 fights against Ruiz. Hopkins should fight Klitch or even Briggs. Briggs he might be able to beat. If Hopkins beat a guy like Peter who is not a champ but could be, I would say wow good win and avoided the bomb. The only small guy who is proving anything is Toney. The guy is fighting heavyweights and his record at heavyweight is good. He has a good heavyweight resume now. Give James credit. Even in losing some fights he proves alot. If Hopkins beat Klitchko that would be really good, but if we have a few champs and the guys who are smaller handpick the worst guy in the division ( like Hopkins is doing)is that really a great accomplishment? I dont think so. And as much as I like Bernard, he should not be given a fight just because he wants it either . He should have to fight a contender and get a shot at the title the way anyone else does.
