I suggest getting a pair of bag gloves for the bag, not those mitts! but a pair of proper bag gloves. Then a pair of 16oz for sparring.

A lot of people on here recommend getting a pair of cheap 16oz also for the bag, but seeing as your not going competitively yet and working on your conditioning and basics then bag gloves will be fine.
Hell the best amatuers i know use bag gloves on the bag instead of sparring gloves, so youll be fine for now with a pair like this:
