And Calzaghe I think recognizes that and no matter what Palle says, Manfredo is 10 times the NAME of Kessler. No one knows who Kessler is. My friends little sister knows who Manfredo and Mora are.



You say he leaves himself open but when Kessler faces southpaws his footwork (which is really good) is used to line his opponent up for the right hand. Just like he display against Beyer.

My suggestion - watch Kessler again. When in doubt, watch him again.

Kesslers footwork, jab and right hand are some of the most versatile in the game. So much so that he has barely lost rounds solely cos of them. Everytime people doubt him and he steps up in competition he dominates in style. The man has probably lost less than 12 rounds in his whole career. Maybe as low as 5-7.

Kessler will keep stepping up but when his tools don't work against the elite I want to know if he has even more offensive and defensive tools. If he does, god help boxers.

Kessler hasn't really showed amazing infighting abilities because to date his jab, right hand, sense of distance, foot speeed, hand speed, height, reach etc has totally dominated guys to the extent that he boxes in mismatches.

Kessler is a potential spoiler for Calzaghe. If he boxes Joe, he'll make him look bad.
