Can Kessler fight Taylor over here in the US then?

Jermaine Taylor is a heck of a fighter. And the way he is going he will be great someday, but he does have the same tendency as a guy who is a great fighter -Thomas Hearns. They both make easy fights hard by making the fights into wars. Taylor gets hit too much since he is always trying to knock the guy out and his last fight was harder than it should have been. The guy hit Taylor a little and busted his face up a little. Just reminded me of Hearns yet Hearns had a better right hand then Taylor has.. Hearns did the same thing as Taylor is trying to knock a guy out and giving up defense to do it. Warrior mentality makes for a good fight and give them credit, but that wears guys out although Hearns sure had a long career.. Hearns is a legendary fighter but alot of his fights which were meant to be easy were harder because he fought guys with good chins who wouldn't go down. So Hearns would almost try his hardest to knock them out and give the other guy a chance to reach his chin since he would back up and try lining the guy up and the guy would clock him sometimes. Jermaine has the same problem. I am not comparing Jermaine to the great Thomas Hearns, but he has to be more defensive. Hearns did get defensive when he was fighting better guys. I was always more confident when Tommy fought better guys like Leonard and Hill than with guys like Kinchen or Olajide. Since Hearns always tried to knock the lesser guys out.

    seriously WTF
But who has Calzaghe fought in the league of Hopkins and Wright? He took them two VERY hard fights back to back, then followed by another tough cookie in Ouma he deserves an easier fight. Im sorry guys beating Lacy then Bika comes no where near to beating Hopkins twice, a draw with Wright and beating Ouma.
CC. Beat me to it. That's not a good argument, I don't like the fight, but you can't compare Taylor to Calzaghe. Taylor's young, in 26 fights he's fought Hopkins twice and Winky once. Joe's old and is just flat out wasting time.

He said typical American? Fighting smaller guys? Alright so then he justifies it by saying Kessler who is HUGE for a Super Middleweight and could probably fight at 190 and be effective wants him to fight Jermain Taylor who would struggle to fight at 175 little less 168. Yeah diss Taylor for fighting old guys and smaller guys and then say that Kessler should fight him when thats all you find on his record

Taylor says that its no problem for him to make 160 which is why he came in 158. But I wasn't addressing you I thought you made a good point, it was the other guy I was talking to

And what ways would that be? Guess you are refering to "outpricing". Thing is Kessler is the one who's actually willing to make an offer. Noone want's to make Kessler an offer (he might accept it).
So before you start putting all the blame on Kessler - Let's hear what other's are prepared to offer him. (Zero, Zip, zilch is my guess)

where i have highlighted is my point. Its that statement that u are forever saying makes me wonder if you live in a dream world. When good fighters who are trying to make a name for them selfs offer big fighters fights, they dont waste their time offering crap for them to come to their country, coz end of it aint gunna freaking happen. Kessler com sout in public saying he is number 2 p4p second only to mayweather, says he will fight anyone everywhere, but offers people like calzaghe and lacy fights in DENMARK then crys about the fact that they don't counter offer

Don't work like that, when your trying to make a name for your self you'll make a fighter an offer he can't refuse, to fight them on their terms - if kessler publicy came out and offerd the likes of lacy and calzaghe the fight where ever they want, close to or over their craeer high pay day, then that would put them right under the spot light - The likes of Calzaghe, taylor if he moves up ar enot going to fight Kessler in denmark ever, coz the don't need him plain and simple.

That's on www.boxingtalk.com. Mora also invented paper. He is well known and very beatable so I guess its a good move by Dibella, and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Mora might actually be slightly underrated because of the contender thing, but he's not beating Taylor.

This would be a great fight no matter who wins. Taylor choosing to fight somebody that was on the show "the contender" is very smart!! Mora and the other fighters on the show, got more exposier to the general public then any of the other fighters in that weight class to include Taylor himself. What is sad but very true is the fact that more people out there heard of Sergio Mora then those who know who Taylor is. He is more of a name then Taylor for sure. Not to true boxing fans but to the general public.Fighters that have that kind of name can pretty much fight whoever they want because there is always high demand to see them preform. And of course there is always a champion out there that wants to make a quick buck. And to make things interesting this Mora kid can actually fight! This could actually be a entertaining fight. But no matter who wins Taylor will have made more money in this fight then in any other fight he possibly could of took in that weight class. Because there will be a lot of fans buying tickets that aren't really boxing fans at all. A lot of them will be "contender" fans. Reality show addicts....This all goes to show that the reality show "the Contender" has done so much for the sport of boxing. For the first time in years boxing is being put on display to the general public. If "the contender" continues like it has been doing, then look for boxing as a whole to become much more popular than it has been in a long time. Especially if one of these guys on the show actually becomes a super star.....
