Default When will young fighters listen?

Jason Litzau had the fight in the bag...even if he danced around and avoided his opp and lost the last 3 he had the win....In the end of the 6th or 7th can't remember Jason's corner man said...
"Listen this is the big time these guys are for real. Don't get careless BOX!!!...This is HBO these guys are here to fight and win!"...WTF is wrong with this kid? After that he went out and got cockey even tried to get cute with his shoulders and taunt his opp.
Kellerman was even saying Litzau in there now starting to have some fun...
This kid not only f^%$ his perfect record but also his marketability...and his ranking....when will these young fighters learn to listen to their corners?

True but to be honest,I don't see many fighters listen to their corners, whether experienced or not firstly and secondly, having seen Litzau before this,I can say it was coming. You can see the kids cockiness and arrogance in previous fights and I thought he would have learnt his lesson in the Nalasco fight.

1 point I may disagree with ever so slightly is his marketability. Sometimes, not always but a loss like this could make a fighter more poular, put more asses in seats hence more $$$? Fans will think,oh that Litzau kid,he was in that war right? Litzau himself said he wants to wow the fans(saw it in an interview) and Andre Burto, another hot prospect also said somthing like gladiators didn't box for any ABC titles, they fought for the admiration and appluase of the crowd and I guess Burto has that same mentality? I know their trainers won't be happy but hey, that's what makes this sport awesome, all these different styles, different ways of thinking.

It's just a point of view I guess but hey, after seeing JLC V Corrales,I became a massive Castillo fan and sought out more of his older fights. Good thread though mate,I see where you are coming from.

Litzau has a short attention span.....

He said in a interview that when he steps in to the ring hes there to give people the best possible show he could give, that he wanted to make sure the people got there moneys worth..... He also said when people come to see me they wanna see me get kncokdown hen me get back up and win the fight...

When I was hearing his corner telling him to box and to not do anything stupid I said.... Wait they do realise who they are telling this tooo... I mean I'm sure thats why they were saying it cause they know Jasons out there.....

But if you go back to the post I put in the thread on Miranda vs. Gibbs around here I put 1 of 2 things will happened wether Litzau KO's him or Hndz. KO's Litzau....

    And it happened...

Jason fought a very good fight, he just came up short . as far as marketability, Jason is just fine. people love a fighter that brings it. Now if he was on his heels and got knocked out , he would be fucked . Jason just needs to bring those hands up.
