If Calzaghe really wants to build a legacy respected on both sides of the pond I think Hopkins is the best opponent he has to go after. No one has beat Hopkins handily in a long time RJJ people will say was past it and Jermaine hasn't proven himself as a HOF quality fighter yet. Also Jermaine will still be around in a few years if Calzage wants to go after him later, same goes for Kessler. A win over Hopkins would also allow him to call out lots of people and have some bargaining power, putting Calzaghe in the drivers seat somewhat.

If he really wants the big payday quickly though, I don't really know what his best option would be. Sure Hopkins wasn't the big crowd magnet against Trinidad or De La Hoya but I get the impression he could pull in some numbers in a big fight nowadays. Too bad we don't get nights like DLH-Mayweather with Hopkins-Calzaghe on the same card, that would be something for the fans.
