You grab it by each side and twist while putting pressure on the center...only hurts about a second...sooner the better

Since we're on the subject, I'm not partcularly worried about my nose getting broken, per se. What I am concerned about is the last time I got decked real good on the nose, it didn't break (at least I'm pretty sure it didn't), but it sure bled a lot. There was a small pool on the floor. Is that going to be a real problem when I finally get into the ring?

its going to happen from time to time, I have had my vessels cauterized surgically to help prevent a massive gush, however its still going to happen., your corner will swab it with adrenaline hydrochloride and everything should be alright, just try not to blow your nose , doing so will result in your eyes swelling shut , hampering your vision . I sustained a broken nose early in a match once, and its drained down the back of my throat for the remaining 8 rounds, .. I won the bout but left the ring before the ref could raise my hand , got to the door of the dressing room ! and puked blood out like a MOFO , it went all over the place .. looked like something out of a Horror movie.. lol I remember this one lady in the hall screaming like a Banshee. LMFAO.. It was funny as shit !

LMAO simular thing happened to one of my fighters at the east coast golden gloves....he only went one more round after he got caught though....The kid who did it was a bit of a KO artist and when in a clinch pushed against his face with his forarm after his nose was already busted...I know it had to hurt like a bitch...My guy all of a sudden turned into James Roper in The great White Hype.....Was pissed as all shit yelling something about his girlfrien and Motherr being in the audience and knocked the kid down twice in 20 seconds and the ref stopped it...soon as we walked out of the ring he blew chuncks of thick blood on the floor...classic stuff

I once had a kids nose gone with the first punch... horrible... not the fact I did it... but the fact that I got covered in his blood... the shit was every where.

First shot I threw was like long range left hook/straight left, over hand left... or something... basically my jab... if you can call it that... step into it perfectly and nailed him right on the nose...

Rest of the fight was spend jabbing him on it and hugging him... had a cold and my feet where slow as hell... couldn't work angles and I spend the whole night getting walked into and hugged. he was all over me though... had dried up blood all over my calfs... ended up swallowinh some of it... :X

    yeah that is nasty...LMFAO !

I once boxed a fellow that hadn’t bathed in a fucking year. Hell flies were beating me to the punch, LMFAO he was a hugger also , super crusty this one , and I remember he had loads of that eye crust in the corners of his eyes . I finally caught him in in 4th and cashed his check ! I had never been more motivated to knock someone out, Just so I could take a shower.. LOL.. How that mutherfucker passed a medical is beyond me. ! The smell of road kill was putrid , and was lingering in my nostrils a few hours after the bout.

Thanks for the info. I'm glad that I don't have to worry overmuch about the bleeding. And who know? Maybe I'll recreate a B-horror film by puking blood all over the place and scaring the s*** our of onlookers too. That'd be pretty darn funny.

Well.........If you get knocked out, the nose story will seem less tragic. When you think of it....how bad is the nose situation after you're tits up on the canvas? I hope this optimistic view has helped in some crossed-eye way.
