Default Salvador Sanchez v. Manny Pacquiao

I think each is better than anyone the other fought. Who do you think would come out on top?

Sanchez by mid round stoppage. He handled Wilfredo Gomez's power, he'll handle Pac's

Sanchez had a GREAT chin, probably as great of a chin as JCC....

Don't know how much you have seen of Sanchez but that kid could box and I say kid cause he was 16 when he started fighting and only 23 at the age of his death.

IMO, Sanchez was an overall fighter he could outbox you or he could trade pucnhes with you and become the brawler...

Just last night before the Miranda vs. Gibbs fight I watched Salvador Sanchez vs. Ruben Castillo..... What a fight Castillo was game and slightly outboxed Sanchez for the first few rds. but Sanchez kept his cool and dictated the fight for the rest of it.. In this fight he did both box & brawl.

Another example is his fight with Wilfredo Gomez where it's clear hes there to handle some business not running from the what was considered harder puncher (Gomez) instead he came straight at him and took Gomez best shots... Sanchez stormed through and broke Gomez down... In this fight he showed he could brawl.

Then theres sadly but yet!!! GREAT fight his last fight against The Professor where he showed just how classy he was and regardless of how talented Nelson was and how well he moved in the ring Sanchez was just one step ahead combine that with his power... It was too much for Nelson.... In this fight he showed his boxing skills combined with his power...

All in all Sanchez wins via TKO rd. 7 or sooooo....

Neither Castillo nor Gomez had anywhere near the offensive prowess of Pacquiao. I don't think Sanchez would be able to survive the onslaught.

1000% agree with Mick...many guys especially casual or younger fans don't know much of Sanchez but that guy could do it all....He had no where to go but up before his death....If he was alive another 5 or so years he would have been a top 10 P4P all time great..EASY!!!!....Just the fact he was only 23 and still somewhat of a legend shows how good he was...Pac is tough and exciting but Sal was the full package
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!

I think Sanchez is a better overall fighter, better boxer, but I do think fighters always get better the longer its been since they've actually fought. We put guys on a pedestal. In twenty years somebody will bring up a mythological matchup between some current 130 pounder against Pacquaio and everybody will instantly say no way, Pacman was a beast.

As good as Sanchez was he wouldn't have an easy time with Pac. Its not that he can punch and that he's tough, its that handspeed. That's what seperates him from other pressure fighters. If it were 12 rounds, I'd say Sanchez by a 8-4, 7-5 type of decision. 15 rounds, and maybe he'd stop him late.

Maybe not Castillo but Gomez was one offensive mo' fo'....... Have you ever payed attention to Sanchez the boxer? If JMM was able to shut down the 'onslaught' surely Sanchez not only would have stoped it but would have stoped 'him' also. IMO

Sanchez was said to walk around 145 lbs. on the norm. moving up to 130 wouldn't have been a problem. Come fight night agaisnt Nicky Perez he weighed 128 lbs.

I just feel that from what we've seen from PAC vs. what we've seen from Sanchez, that Sanchez would be the winner if they met....
