The threat of Calzaghe beating his unbeaten reign could make this a reality

Still amazes me that Hopkins holds Joe in such high regard...but the American public has yet to embrace him or see it.

    He better blast Manfredo out.

    That's all I can say.

Thats because most of the American public (and the same goes for the British too) know sod all about boxing and just want to see a bit of blood and a big KO, Hopkins knows boxing and sees what a talent Joe is and what a huge fight this could be.

If Mora had power at 160 he would have. Calzaghe has power at 168 and can explode too.

Lets not forget Manfredo fought Pemberton and Spina and Spina had him stunned in the first round.

I don't give Manfredo a chance against Calzaghe. But if Manfredo puts up a fight I think Joe is gonna retire on injuries and never fight another real fighter

For the first time in nearly 5 yrs i think hopkins will actualy fight him - they way he spoke then was as if he is already expecting to be fighting him soon, but keeping it aloof so he gets the terms he wants.

Agreed. I'd love to see Joe just blast him out...that showboating shit really bothers me.

True. Personally though...I'm more for pure boxers than I am some one dimensional knockout artist...but a good mix of both aint a bad thing.

Me either...but stranger things have & could happen.

Also...it worries me that Joe's hands will give out on him in this fight. Huge risk here...little reward.

Hopkins should be the one dictating the terms on this one, IWO.

I love both guys...but it's hard to say who's gonna say yes & no to the terms. Hopkins is right on one thing...he's the draw.

Agreed. A piss poor showing against Manfredo will probably dull the match down.

agree on the showboating, i hope he doesnt go down that road - when done right it can be great, take RJJ! but with bika i think he was trying to impress the us to much, when he should of left his skills to do that, he neds to just do one thing with manfredo and beat him badly, no fking about.

In regards to hopkins v Joe, he needs ot understand that this could be the final stepping stone, i would think sumin like 65/35 maybe 60/40 purse split to hopkins? there will be one hell of alot of people form the uk paying to see that if its PPV

The thing is...will Joe or Warren take that big of a cut? Hopkins sure as shit wouldn't.

Honestly...I think that the fight will probably never materialize. We shall see though.

It would suck up a shitload of viewers on both sides of the pond.
