I can guarantee that this is gonna be a great fight. People look at Floyd and Oscar's style and they automatically assume that they are just gonna be bouncing in front of each other landing jabs all night. This is gonna be a GREAT fight.

Reasons why this will be a GREAT fight:

- The ring is gonna be small so that means less room to manuever for Floyd so we will see the majority of the fight in the pocket or with Floyd close to or around the ropes. Floyd has actually done most of his great work backing up or on the ropes.

- While the two might be boxers, both are boxer-punchers. Don't let the Baldy fight fool you. Floyd fights are usually entertaining and great to watch. While Floyd never throws huge shots, he is active over all 12 rounds.

- Both fighters believe that they can win. While Oscar might be a great boxer, he will stand his ground and trade combos with boxers. If you've watched him, he's pretty much done it in all his fights. Floyd does too!!! In fights where he has been facing someone that's viewed as having a good power at their weight like Corrales and Judah, there are points where Floyd will actually stand and trade with fighters and use his great defense while doing it. There WILL be great exchanges guaranteed.

- Oscar De La Hoya is not afraid of Floyd's power. Oscar believes that he is the one with power and since Floyd is always active pretty much, we know that there will be a good number of punches thrown per round.

- Floyd finally gets his double digit paycheck. This is huge. The first half of the Baldomir fight was decent, the last half was pretty boring. The entire reason that Floyd put his foot on the gas was his ODLH paycheck. When he fought Judah, he wasn't really thinking fully about ODLH at the time, so we saw Floyd moving forward, trading, and really putting in some good work until Round 11 and 12 after the melee. And everyone said Judah had KO power at 147 going into the fight. Now that Floyd has his huge double digit paycheck, he's got nothing to lose except the 0 on his record. If he wins then he won't retire, if he loses then he already said that he was gonna retire. He's got no reason to run in this fight unless and gets caught and needs to collect his composure. Merchant has been acting like Floyd has been running in fights his entire career, but if you look at Floyd's career, he's been in decent to great fights his whole career with exception to the last half of the Baldy fight where he was clearly trying to just get to ODLH safely.

- De La Hoya will not allow another HUGE fight to go down the drain due to him not working. The whole point of this fight is to see if ODLH can finally get that win on a HUGE stage that has been eluding him his whole career.

- Both fighters know that this will play into how they are remembered. They will go in feeling like they have to look good. And they will try.

You people that think that Floyd is a boring fighter based on the Baldy fight are fucking idiots. Don't let Merchant's senility affect your judgment. This will be a great fight and anyone that doesn't watch it is pretty much just a casual fan that only wants to watch bombfests. I'm so ready for this shit.
