Miranda hasnt faced anybody on the same level as JT and it would be a difficult fight for him. His best chance would be when JT is backing up

The fight would go one of two ways: Miranda by late (T)KO or JT by decision.
Miranda did fight a good fighter in Abraham though and he did well against that super tight guard and JT's D is nowhere near that good. And you nailed it too,the way JT backs up involuntairly,I mean he's usually the bigger guy,he should be imposing his will and backing up the opponent!! Miranda was stunned by Abaraham a few times though but to his credit,he KEPT coming forward. Wouldn't Miranda be the biggest guy JT has fought too so may be he would not be able to use his brute strength to get him out of trouble.
I thought Miranda did better than what the score cards reflected. JT is not defensive minded enough to avoid Miranda's big shots. Depending on how strong JT's chin is and if he can avoid some of Miranda's big shots he can get the decision. As we all know its too hard to get a decision against JT so Miranda's only chance will be a KO. I think Miranda is strong enough to do it. I would like to see him with a new trainer, someone that will get him using the science part of the sweet science.

Now I hate Dibella even more. That little bitch dissed Ricardo Mayorga! And hell yeah, I wanna see Miranda KO Green too, but I want him to stay at MW, and get Taylor first. I'm sure Manny and Taylor would have some fuked up little plan involving holding and running waiting for Miranda like they did for Ouma, but I think Miranda's youth, and pure hunger would be enough to get Taylor, that and his monster right hand.

Agreed...I'd love to see him blast Green out.

In the end...I think that Manny's got a bit of sense & keeps Taylor waaaaaaaaay the fwock away from Miranda.

Taylor'd need the magic back for a fight like that...by magic I mean Pat Burns.

It has in the past been hard to get a decison against Taylor. But I have a feeling HBO is getting sick of him too. If they fight and Taylor wins, well they will be happy since his stock will go back up. BUT if Pantera pulls out a victory (especially by a brutal KO) HBO IMO may be thrilled to replace JT with Miranda as their middleweight champ! All this is meaningless as long as Dibella protects his little boy though.

You have to look at it this way...HBO has been wanting a replacement for the Golden Bwoy for quite sometime...& Taylor looked like the perfect package all wrapped & bowed. The problem is...looks can be decieving. Taylor appears to be one of the bigger busts of their recent history.

They paired him up with "superstar trainer" Manny Steward & marketed him as the good ole Arkansasian & he just seems to have turned into...I don't know...a cream puff.

I wouldn't be surprised if they jumped on the Miranda bandwagon too.

You see...you have to look at their track record...they were gung-ho with Floyd's sack in their mouths until he wouldn't play ball. Back a few years ago Floyd screamed loud & proud that he wasn't working for HBO's slave wages & they black balled him for the love of MAB. They ran with Barrera like he was a god...then he fell to Pacquiao & they jumped on that ship...after that...he lost to Morrales & then they jumped back to Floyd...they just jump ship to much for me on their fighters. They did the same with Wlad...then he won big & they were back on that bandwagon.

Soon as Taylor loses...they'll be shed of him.

Wouldn't shock me in the least if they picked up Miranda.

HBO’s gotta keep adding new talent. It is understandable HBO would jump ship when someone starts on a losing trend or starts to appear uninterested in the fight game , got to remember HBO is in business to showcase the best fighters possible in marquee match ups, and in order to do that , they need to keep adding and subtracting the fighter roster , they need to put that yearly boxing allowance to its best use. Hell Taylor is already talking about retiring. fast way to get dropped, by telling everyone you thinking about retirement.. all that should be left in silence.

HBO rarely introduces new talent though...they reheat all the oldies but goodies until they wash out.

I think that Taylor wants to talk retirement based on the grounds that he's convinced he's bested the best 2 middles of the game legitimately & the fans still have little to no love for him.

Maybe I'm wrong there...but really...where does Taylor go from here? His heart would have to be set on boxing 100% to make a run like Hopkins did...& I just don't think that he's at that point.

JT needs to fight someone meaningful and needs to win in style.

Is it me or are a handful of fighters playing with fire, meaning they havent convinced anyone as of late and or looked good and need a meaningful win?

    PBF
    JT
    Hatton
    Valuev
    Wlodarczyk
    Pavlik
Dawson (My boy!! but I gotta keep it real)
    Joe C.
    Duddy
    Margarito

    to name a few......

Taylor's last showing was pretty weak. could be he thought Ouma would be an easy fight, just bomb this smaller guy out of there no worries , that happens to champions from time to time.. it sure looked the case for Taylor . all that hugging and holding was horrible, but often the result of under training for a fight and blowing your wad in the early rounds. a champions gotta treat each opponent as a dangerous Muthafucker, cause they want what you have .

a champion needs to remember that someone's life will changes for ever , if they can knock your ass out . so anyone with that title shot opportunity is gonna rise up. You can't coast when you the big dog. everyone you fight is dangerous and hungry

    Good points. Agreed.

Here's the thing...had he handled Wright & convincingly beaten Hopkins in their first fight...I wouldn't have so many issues with him, but he's coming apart at the seams now.

I just aint sold on him anymore.

What utterly confounds me about Taylor is the fact that he made an outlandish statement about retiring as soon as he gets the opportunity.
I don't have a problem with that. Seems logical, he feels he has made a lot of money in the sport and doesn't seem like the interest is there
    anymore.
That being said; why would you continue to fight without your heart in it. There are thousands of boxers around the globe that would kill for
his inherent athletic abilities. I think it's a disservice to the sport, and moreover, a disservice to the God given talent Jermain was blessed with.

Yep. Good point...that totally ruined it for me.

Truthfully...Taylor's got a atheletic build...but it doesn't sync up with his boxing abilities. He's muscular & all that...but he's plagued with stamina issues & some seriuosly disfunctional ring generalship.

He has no clue how to work the entire fight...often gasses out from fighting a stupid game plan.

IWO, you can pump as much story & cash into a fighter...but if his head aint in the game...he's a bust waiting to happen.

True. To be a gifted athlete doesn't necessarily translate into being a great boxer. This can be evidenced by Michael Jordan's short stint in baseball. I also agree about the ring generalship. And there are a lot of question marks surrounding his beard. I think I confused superior athletic ability with having a cross-over factor into other sports. As you correctly
stated, that certainly isn't the case.

This is going to sound goofy as shit...but for some reason...I haven't put much thought into his chin.

I have no clue why. I suppose I just thought he had a good chin due to taking all those shots on the button from Wright & Hopkins power shots...but come to think about...his chin might have a few shards of glass in it.

Hopkins hurt him several times & so did Wright...but he stayed on his feet & I suppose that's what counts.

Gotdam it's getting late...I gotta open up the sto' in 5 hours.

I need to head to bed.

It's been a pleasure Shadow...you need to get your ass back on the board more often.

Cheers babe. Have a lover-lee evening.

That just goes back to the promoter side of things...All these guys are money making machines....With the exception of PBF and JT (to an extent) they are questionable...they may fold under the first big fight they get into..Should I revise that and say real TEST they get into
