well, here's my take on it, for what it's worth. i think valuev is decent. is he the monster boxer that his build would lead you to believe? absolutely not. someone earlier mentioned that you can't base what happened in fights on the score cards because that's someone's opinion. well, that's exactly it . you may say ruiz beat valuev or so and so beat this guy, but that is your opinion. it is what it is. on any given night a panel of judges could award a fight to anybody, and remember that's how it is. more than one judge has to see it that way. yes, these controversial decisions kinda suck, but that's the way boxing is set up. all these boxers cry if they have a decision go against them, but proclaim to be the next big thing when one goes their way. personally, i would love to see the judges taken out of the mix. just have the fights set up to where the only way a fight can be won is by ko, tko, or if someone can't continue for medical reasons. if at the end of the fight there is no clear winner, then it gets recorded as a draw. that would surely clear things up. of course it would never happen because too many people would oppose it, but i think it might make things a bit more exciting, and might cause some of these guys to train harder and try and put on a better show.
