Forget it, its just stupid haters, hatin on Roy as usual. Jones woulda embaressed Leonard before knocking him out. Did Roy ever get a gift decision, or ever need to? Nope. Did Ray? Yeah, on more than one occassion. Jones dominated James Toney who is as good as anyone SRL ever faced IMO, with the possible exception of a prime Duran. This thread ain't bout Jones, anyhow, but you guys seem to insist on making it about him. He was the greatest boxer P4P ever IMO.

James Toney might be as good as Hearns and Leonard and Duran and Hagler. But the one thing he lacked which they seemed to have was discipline. So everytime James fights he is either in shape or he isn't and we are supposed to give him excuses when he is not in shape and the excuses work. Actually Duran sometimes gets excuses for being in shape or not. James is as good as those 4 guys I think when he is in shape. But with Jones he was not in shape, which is not Jones fault. But that aside, whether Jones is as good as Hearns and Hagler and Leonard and Duran, he does not have the fights against other great fighters those guys do and the signifies greatness. Hearns and his 3 buddies in the 80s have the fights to showcase the talent. Jones does not.. A few Toney's and Hopkins here and there yet with asteriks like Hopkins was not a great fighter when he fought him, and Hill was over the Hill when he fought him, and Toney was weakened. Those other guys were in events. That is my point. Events mean something, Jones was in fights, but not the epic fights they had. That is why ALi's era and SRL era is so remembered. And to say Jones would knock out Ray Leonard is ridiculous. What SRL are we talking about? The one in 1981 or the one in 1990? 1990 SRL vs the 1996 Roy Jones he would lose to Roy I am sure. But prime vs prime SRL vs Roy and I think SRL wins the fight by stoppage or UD.
