I really don't like that Hatton couldn't stay at 147. I mean even if the fight was tough, he still won. Not every fight is gonna be an easy predictable knockout for Ricky at welter and I guess that he only wanted fights that were easy predictable knockouts. I would have loved to see Hatton - Mosley or Hatton - Judah or Hatton - Cotto, but instead boxing fans are stuck with Hatton-Urango for a belt that Hatton has already owned before.
I dont think thats fair at all, Urango means he will have fought 3 belt holders in a row, i dont think thats too bad compared to those boxers who sit on their ass and fight mandatories and even crapper opposition (Calzaghe do something ffs). You mention Cotto but apart from Quintanta he hasnt really fought that great a level of opposition at all. Also if Ricky and castillo get through their respective bouts weve got the mouth watering prospect of Hatton-Castillo. Also Hatton is a small guy (5'6) and the only fighter of that size who did any good at welter and above is Duran, and even then he couldnt compete with the best welter's and middles cause he was just too damn small and the huge reach disadvantage.
