I think its ridiculous for people to say they know what would have happened if Clottey didn't break his hand.

Nobody knows for sure what would have happened, well that is except for the people that don't like Margarito.

Margarito starts slow, and comes on as the fight progresses. That's what he does. Its not like its a novel concept for pressure fighters to be outboxed early by the "boxer" and then come on late. Like Bilbo said, Clottey had stamina problems, not just hand problems. Clottey may well have won but Margarito was the stronger guy down the stretch, hand problems or not.
