I like the bit where he says "where not here to prove who the best boxer is"? OK ...........
![]()
Yea your right he ducked him 2x... The 1st time was to beat THE UNIVERSALLY RECOGNIZED UNDISPUTED LINEAR WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, NOT AN ALPHABET TITLE HOLDER!!!
2nd time will be wheb he faces perhaps one of the top 3 fighters of this generation Oscar Delahoya
Yep Floyds a total chickenshitOh and by the way isin't Paul Williams Margarito's mandatory
? Yea I'm curious to see if that fight even comes off... Then you guys best be ready for the backlash
Yeah it's kinda wierd, because Margarito may have to vacate his alphabet title anyway if he doesn't heal in time. I would love to see Paul Williams fight Margarito, but if he's unable to fight, then It would be #1 vs #2 contender which would be Paul Williams vs. Miguel Cotto. To me that is an even more interesting match.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I think Williams will be broken at world level, I think he needs 2-3 more fights against upper level welterweights, rather than blown up light welters, if he's planning on taking on the likes of Cotto or Margarito.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
JT let me get this straight before I start on you, all I was doing was posting a link that read that tittle, I wasn't the one who said were not hear to prove who the best boxer is, so before you start dissing check the facts.Originally Posted by JT Rock

OK.. I just posted the facts for you, people like to nitpick Mayweather for not facing Margarito, he made the same money 8 mill to fight the man at 147 than he would have for Margarito, and now he is facing Oscar for about 10 million...
18 million is not bad for 6 months worth of work... Believe me if There is anything left of Margarito after Cotto or Williams is done with him Mayweather will make the fight...
So he tripped up and said something stupid in an interview.. I mean when I read stuff like that makes me think its election year with all the politicians getting sound bytes and interviews getting ammo for there smear campaigns...
I absolutely agree, he definately has some work to do and is not ready, but he can't pass up either opportunity if it presents itself.Originally Posted by yoitsdan
Presently I give him a chance against Margarito, but little to no chance against Cotto

nobody was ducking margarito before, and nobodys ducking him now after his less than good performance against clottey
Floyd is fighting Oscar De la Hoya at 154....I doubt Margarito at 147 is a tougher fight than that
....why didn't Margarito fight Shane Mosley then?
mayweather would rape tonys assssssssssss!!
Some of you Tony dickheads needs to stop riding this guy's nuts so hard. An aging Oscar is two times better than Tony and Floyd is moving up to fight him. Get the fuck outta here with this running from Tony shit. Tony's a fucking hypocrite. Tony needs to fight his mandatory and shut the fuck up. Let's look at the facts:
Floyd fought Zab (linear welterweight champion before Baldy)...and beat him.
Floyd fought Baldy (the recognized champ at 147)...and beat him.
Floyd is now moving up to fight ODLH at 154 when everyone who knows boxing knows Floyd isn't even truly a welterweight much less a junior middleweight.
now look at these facts:
Margarito fought a cab driver that wasn't worth shit...and beat him.
Margarito laid on his ass all day crying in bed and throwing tantrums for months about PBF not fighting him.
Margarito was blown out the first four rounds by Clottey but won the fight because Clottey fucked his hand up.
Margarito is now saying that he might drop his 147 title and just fight Cotto for his title instead of fighting Paul Williams.
Who is really running now?
Even if Margarito does vacate and fights Cotto first, rest assured,he is DEFINITELY fightin Williams at some point in 07. It all depends on the injury,if he is healed sooner rather than later,he'll fight Williams first.

heres the 8,000,000 dollar question..............
when youre the number 1 contender (floyd at the time) do you fight the linear champion who hadnt lost in almost 10 years, and beat the actual welterweight champion of the world (judah at the time) for 8 mil, or does the number one contender turn around and fight the number 2 contender (margarito, at the time) who just lost to a journeyman 4 fights ago for the same amount of money?
Margarito is no doubt dangerous BUT who has he been dangerous against?
Floyd is just quick and crafty....if Tony stays as champ at 147 he'll get his pay days but I think one Miguel Cotto will test him pretty quick
