Honestly...I'm in agreement...but if he does come out...I'd want it to be against Wright, Sturm, Taylor, Calzaghe, or RJJ...but please...not Maskaev.

I go back & forth on the Maskaev thing. I konw why Nard wants it...but in the end...win, lose, or draw...Maskaev aint worth shit...nor is his title. The fight merits nothing.

A match against Wright would be for bragging rights & also might be one of the most exciting fights to a purist such as meself.

Sturm...just because I have always wanted to see it. Everyone falls once...it's the getting back on the bike that does the career justice.

Taylor...goes without saying...I think he won the first fight...& he could win the third if he just worked hard enough for it.

Calzaghe...keep him from breaking your title defenses...why else? The fans would want it.

Roy Jones jr? Ehhhhhhhhhhhh...I guess so...for nothing else but to right the wrong all those years ago.

Doubt that Bernard would KO Calzaghe. Joe's got a damned sturdy chin & the grit & will to get up offa the mat. I've seen him do it before two or three times...I think...maybe just two. Can't remember exactly.

The thing with Calzaghe & Hopkins is that it's not a cut & dry match. I'm a fan of both...& Hopkins style could be as much or more of a factor as Joe's speed could. The thing that people seem to underestimate is Joe's accumulative power. He's not a knockout artist...but his volume is dizzying & he's often right on the button.

That being said...not in a million years do I think he could TKO the Nard...but with the same output in the Lacy fight...he could easily outpoint him...but...then again...Hopkins will counter just as accurately as Joe will unload...so that kinda goes out the window there...don't it?

There you go. You just went & did it didn't you? You just had to go & do it. It's just fans showing their unyeilding devotion to their favorite fighter...you know what that's like...so don't act like you don't. There are plenty of us that know boxing outside of the U.S., it doesn't break down that simply...it's just rabid fandom taking over for some of the eager beavers.

Joe could run his record ragged for another few years coupled with the Lacy performance & some half assed opponents if it were a perfect world...but it's not...& fighting the RSC (Reality Show Chump) that's next on the list.

I loved the Eubank fight. That was a toe to toe war right there...quite possibley...I enjoyed that more htan the Lacy fight in retrospect due to the fact that there was some competition involved.

I agree...I don't think that Hopkins is set in his power anymore or of late...but it's highly likely that Joe could outpoint the Nard...but he'd have to be a lot sharper than he was against Bika.

But Hopkins could KO Joe, I think he would in the later rounds, or least counterpunch him to an easy UD.
In all truths...I think that Calzaghe would slaughter Tarver & Taylor.

If that equates to me not knowing a damn thing about USA boxing...so be it.

Tarver is in no way shape or form a class above Calzaghe.

Hopkins is a totally different animal. You just never know what your'e going to get with Bernard of late. I've not seen him fight the way he fought against Tarver in almost 4 years. He hadn't hammered anyone out that hard since the beating he laid on Joppy.

Sure Bernard has pulled shut outs & clinics & what nots...but nothing like what he did to Tarver.

Tarver has proven in the past to be an underacheiver...almost unmotivated. Calzaghe is just the opposite. Speed & volume & completely awkward...

It'd be an easy night with Tarver & a ruff one against Hopkins.
